We booked the Macdonald Elmers Court Hotel for a last minute one night stay during the Easter hols and really enjoyed our stay. The room and facilities were great, and breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay again.

Helpful and cheerful staff, our evening meal was excellent as was our waiter who couldn't do enough for us. Our room was comfortable, had everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable too. Would recommend this hotel.

Beautiful main building but the rooms are not in keeping and feel dated. Incorrect room service order and a 45 minute wait for toast at breakfast despite asking 3 times. The staff are nice and friendly and make you feel very welcome. We would not book again for a getaway but it's a decent hotel for business trips etc as practical accommodation.

Had a very pleasant time at this hotel. I found a bit difficult to locate from the train station as the road to the hotel is not lit and there is no signage for pedestrians and minimal pavements. The reception was friendly and efficient and gave me good information. I thought the room was fine although I did think the courtyard and paths could do with being better lit as it was a bit difficult to locate the room in the darkness. The room was upstairs and it was also a bit difficult to locate the slot for the keys to operate the lights. I think more illumination of the porch areas would be good. The room was comfortable with a large bed and all necessary furniture. Toiletries were of a high standard (Aran Aromatics). Everything was very clean and there was plenty of hoer. I enjoyed the leisure facil and the swimming pool was really well laid out. I do think the leisure club reception should be permanently staffed as there was ody there when I arrived or when I left so I had to call someone from the restaurant to help me find towels. Breakfast was good, a lovely buffet with good croissants and a cooked breakfast with some really good scrambled eggs. Overall I thought this was good value for money.
