Good value, clean and tidy, nice surrounding and lovely towns to visit. Main building has lots of history. Decent sized rooms. Good breakfast.

Main building is lovely but the extension looks like a 1980s block of council flats which was not what we expected and where our room was. included in the price we had got a window that would not open and the previous occupants leftovers in the toilet. The clearly signed "tail bar" does not sell any tails. Had dinner and breakfast and both meals were very good and service during dinner was great and service during breakfast was the same once we got served sadly due to a rush of people arriving at the same time there were some delays in the kitchen (clearly understandable) yet after saying they would return to take the food orders once things had calmed down we had to remind them after serving three other families who arrived after us that our order had still not been taken. We would stay again but now we know about the rather dull extension for the price we would expect to be in the main building.

It's a beautiful spot, and the hotel grounds and outside of hotel is well kept and lovely. The hotel is on an old canal, and you have access to the footpath from the back of the hotel.

Stayed there as it is close to Wycliffe School. We had a small but comfortable room with beautiful views over the gardens to the river and church yard. Excellent breakfast (too much sage in the sausage though). Very happy to stay there again.

Chose this hotel for proximity to southern Cotswolds. Visited many beautiful villages. The Hotel had plenty of safe parking, lovely grounds and the view from our room was superb overlooking the canal and on to the fields in the distance. The hotel has much history and has been added to with a more modern wing of rooms. The room was large enough with a window to the view. The bathroom was clean. The staff in the hotel from the receptionists to the housekeeping were pleasant and helpful. Special mention to the dining staff who were very professional and interacted well. Having arrived on a Wednesday we didn't know what to expect with regard to the dinner but were very impressed by the standard of the meal, compliments to the chef. We booked for the following evening. Breakfast was a little chaotic for the staff. They were all working really hard but I think the methodology needs some work. This noted however we were happy with the breakfast which set us up for the day. It is evident that some areas of the hotel are a little dated but the hotel has many positives. The offer for the two nights stay was very good value for money.

My husband and I have recently traveled to the UK to do some sightseeing and shopping in Bristol while we have also visited Cotswolds and Stonehouse court was a perfect choice for a place to stay over two nights. Our room was very spacious, clean, very comfortable with incredible views of the hotel gardens. We had a chance to eat in hotel restaurant on both nights and it was perfect experience for both of us. Food was just amazing, as was staff and service. Interesting breakfast with wide variety of Continental selection and a good quality cooked options makes us to wish to come back. All of the staff throughout the hotel were polite and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and us happy - they are a real credit to the hotel. We are planning to visit and come back. Thank you. Maria
