Stayed here with my wife to celebrate her birthday, we were greeted by a happy and friendly receptionist who checked us in quickly. We were then directed to our ground floor room, No. 30, a well decorated room with nice furniture fancy net curtains and a new well equipped bathroom. A comfortable queen bed with good quality bedding completed what was a very nice room. Bathroom amenities were supplied in large, 300 ml, containers but these were loose so leading to a previous guest removing same and taking them home. Then to Dinner included in deal a well balanced menu was provided and drink prices were reasonable. Dinner was well served in a timely manner by a happy and polite waitress and cleared again in a timely manner. That was the included menu and food quality was good and well cooked so much so that we booked then and there for our second night . Next day to the Wedgewood experience in nearby Barlaston with a large and interesting museum and shop in large well kept grounds./ We did not use the leisure facilities so cannot comment on these. All in all an enjoyable stay in a clean well run hotel staffed by friendly and polite people. We would stay again if in the near vicinity. It should also be said that the restaurant serves a modern British and an extensive Indian menu which was delicious. Breakfast was full English and offered both browns and fried Bread as options.

The 'Cosy Room' was too cosy with a less than full size 'double ' bed which could only be accessed from one side.

The hotel was a fantastic place to celebrate our New year. The Pricess suite was very nicely laid out with our names on the table and decorated. The service during the night brilliant and the entertainment fantastic. Overall I would recommend to anyone.

What a lovely hotel. I stayed in a twin room with my sister whilst visiting a family member in the nearby hospital. We received a warm and friendly welcome on check in. Our room was tastefully decorated and comfortably sized. The room was clean and although we had only one set of towels in the bathroom, this was quickly rectified by the young man at reception. If I had one slightly negative comment, it would be the unusual tea tray and the spness of its contents. We ate in the bar that evening and again the staff were faultless and the food was very nice. At breakfast we were served by a very friendly Irish lady. All in all a very nice stay. We have in the past stayed up the road in Stafford, but would defiantly stay in Stone again. The staff in any establishment play a big part in the experience of its patrons and this hotel definitely ticks all the boxes.

This hotel has a lot of potential to be excellent. It has some beautiful features such as the carved fireplaces and lounge area. But it is looking like it needs an update. Lovely furnishings but a bit worn. Our room was very spacious with even a couch to watch TV and desk and chairs. There is a lovely garden to sit in as well. Very relaxing for a few days' stay in good weather. Bathroom had plenty of room on the vanity bench; can't seem to get the knack with flushing toilets with handles though. Need update. Some take a few goes! The staff are also fairly young and I would guess, need a bit more experience. But they were polite. If the owners spent some money, I think they would have a lot more guests. The food in the dining room was good - waiter very attentive - but a bit pricey. Full breakfast was included in the room, made to order, and was very good. It is on the east side of Stafford Road (A34) which is a divided road and north of the A51 roundabout. It is set back a bit behind trees so one can easily miss it. It is a small town but not far from the potteries.
