We got what we paid for, had no great expectations, room was clean and warm. Good position by the sea. Breakfast was disappointing.

Our room had a wonderful view of the garden square and the sea front, it was larger than we have come to expect, with utility fittings which, whilst unusual we found most functional and quirky. The ensuite was clean and obviously well stocked (the note about the cost of replacement toiletries a necessary step we suppose) the beds were clean and the linen of a good quality ( yes I am a little fussy). Reception was well populated and the staff pleasantly informed. Breakfast, continental, included in the room price sufficient for the most ardent energy expenders. We found the rabbit warren type stairwells and corridors in keeping with most hotels on the seafronts we have visited -cute and kitschy, it is a wing end of a previously larger hotel. It has a modern feel in some public rooms but the rest not what I'd call vintage. Will we go back? Yes most definitely.

Stopped over at this hotel for one night, the room was clean and spacious. Good value for money, the curtains and bed base did make me smile them being made from faux blue fur. We chose not to up grade to the full english finding the continental breakfast enough to see us through to lunch time.

My elderly Mother and I had a wonderful two night stay. The Staff couldn't be more helpful. I really appreciated there kindness. I loved the quirky decor it made a great talking point with the several visitors we had. The room was spacious and airy with fabulous views of the sea.

On arrival, the staff were very friendly and helpful even letting us know there was a rail strike when we said we were going to Brighton by train the next day. The room was spotless; bright and comfortable with a lovely view over the prom and sea including the pier. Great to find a fan in the room. The bed linen was good quality, crisp and clean. The bathroom was spacious with a good size bath with plenty of hoer and a brand of towel we use in our own holiday rental business so we know it is quality. The last hotel I stayed in was 5* and this bathroom was far better. The curtains (which seem to come in for a lot of comments) kept out the bright morning sun allowing me to sleep in until 09:00. Breakfast was fine; the pasties were fab. Plenty enough to keep us going until lunch time. The Wifi worked without problem. The hotel location is perfect for the theatre, pier, beach, eateries and bus stop which can take you to the railway station. There is parking outside the hotel area for £1 per day. Would we return - like a shot!
