Nice wee overnight stay. Not in the hotel but out the back in one of the family rooms. Bit dated but beds were comfy and room was clean.

Room comfortable and clean. Breakfast had plenty options both hot and cold and good quality but hot food was not hot enough none of the hot food container lids stayed closed and even Luke warm plates didn’t help keep anything warm enough so was cold long before finished eating. It could be excellent if they update the old fashioned hot plates! Other issue was being given an information sheet that included the pool opening times and only then did we discover the pool is closed on a Monday for cleaning (only stayed 1 night (Monday) so we were very disappointed

Very disappointed to discover that the pool is closed on a Monday we were looking forward to having a swim, has spoilt our stay. Our booking says pool opening hours nothing about days.

Initially I had phoned hotel 10 days before arrival as wanted to upgrade room. Had to leave voicemail. To date I am STILL waiting on a call back. Not good business. On initial inspection the rooms appear gorgeous, however ours required some tlc. Mould visible around bottom of shower, shower screen/ door kept falling off the tracks and very precarious when using the shower. Water pressure in shower quite poor and bathroom as a whole let the room down. Bathroom quite small compared to size of room and no room to move around at sink as it’s so close to shower screen. We found rips/tears in the duvet cover and the curtains were clearly mismatched and didn’t even reach the bottom of the window. Had 2 x breakfast and 1 x evening meal. None of which were actually hot. Soup lukewarm at best. We were given a sauce with our steak and we’re still trying to figure out what the sauce was supposed to be. Also ordered apple and cinnamon crumble for dessert. Upon laying it on table even the waitress said “apple and rhubarb crumble”. If I had known it was rhubarb I would not have ordered it - very disappointed. Breakfast was clearly made at 7am then left to keep warm for hours. Black pudding was so overcooked and hard you could break windows with it. Continental selection of cheese and ham was very poor. Not sure i of this was because we went out of season. Still also disappointed the pool area was not in use.

Lovely warm comfortable room, food was amazing, especially the Prawn Explosion & the cooked breakfast which included everything, all cooked to perfection and lovely and warm. Highly recommend! Wee bit disappointed the swimming pool was closed though

Hotel was very dated,room was clean but not deep cleaned, dinner was lovely,breakfast a complete let down. Nice touch with bottled water in room,one fizzy, one still, upon second day, it was apparent bottled still water had been refilled and was not a sealed bottle. Pool shut for refurb,no sign of work being done and was not told till several days after booking pool would not be available, For the price for two of us staying two nights £150 was good value for money,but gosomewhere else for breakfast.

Very hospitable staff, was late for dinner and this was not an issue. Room was upgraded as issue with pool. Excellent room, very clean and good standard. Breakfast was very good, with a variety of food , coth continental and hot plate Would definitely recommend and will be returning.

Not pleased leisure facilities closed supposed to have been December and January but still closed when we were there this was one of main reason I booked this hotel. The hotel was very cold not much heating on so was not pleasant to sit in lounge. Breakfast was amazing though and piping hot so made up for other things.Have booked a few breaks with my hotel break but seriously thinking to stop as this break was a let down could have got a break at half the price in the town unhappy customer

The room wasn't clean. The furniture in the room is ancient. The gap at the bottom of the door is ridiculous. The bathroom window handle was broken and had to be replaced. The shower was dirty and the drain was blocked. The pressure from the bathroom tap was non existent. We were given a room next to the lift and I'm convinced that everyone in the hotel had a room on the third floor. The rooms are in huge need of refurbishment. Paid £300 for 2 nights and they wanted another £11 per person for breakfast. Well overpriced.

Booked the week before and notified them that my partner has Coeliac's Disease and needs Gluten Free food and no cross contamination. On arrival they knew nothing of this and were unsure if they could provide anything. Ultimately the chef did state some things were safe but we weren't sure he understood about cross contamination so ate elsewhere - although breakfast we risked it. Hotel has been bought over and it seems like they are in the process of change. Maybe have a lot of new staff too. So a few things on the website don't reflect how they actually are in practise. Will probably improve although it is perfectly acceptable as it is unless you have any particular needs. Beautiful views so worth paying extra for sea view.

Very enjoyable stay, the 2 ladies working the dining room did a fabulous job, food very good and plentiful. Really need to have water pressure looked at as the showers were very poor, in the bedrooms and swimming pool area.

Really good deal for the price. Two breakfasts and one evening meal plus a bottle of wine, food was very nice, stayed in the apartments ,may stay in the hotel next time. Staff very nice. Dining room and lounge area have been refurbished to a high standard.
