Both of us wish to note that the Hotel facilities including the surrounding garden area was EXCELLENT.The rooms and buildings were clean and cosy whilst all the staff that we came across were courteous and professional throughout. The food at the evening meal and breakfast was of the highest order.

A lovely hotel well situated on the edge of the town. Everywhere was very clean and tidy. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Gardens are beautiful and run right down to the river.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel is spotless and has clearly benefitted from a refurbishment. Our room was really nice[number 5] and had 2 windows as it is on a corner and gets the sun more than most. The gardens to the rear allow you to walk along the severn for some of the way and iron bridge town centre is 10 minutes walk away. The restaurant[Chez ]is also newly refurbished and the food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again.

We were very happy with the restaurant meal. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. All the staff we encountered were polite and welcoming. We were a little disappointed with the room which didn't have a window and had a musty smell. The offer also said hot drinks and biscuits on arrival but we weren't offered any.

Great hotel, beautiful scenery and location, lots of things to do and see on your door step. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Had dinner on the first night as part of the deal, booked it for the second night, food was 5/5, service very good. Had breakfast both morning, lots of choices. Would highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay at Valley hotel Ironbridge. Pleasant staff nice rooms, if I go again I would book a ground floor room with a shower cubicle. That was my mistake not the hotel

Lovely hotel, initially basic disappointment at a twin room, reception staff were super & had them made to a double very quickly. Nothing seemed too much trouble, lovely smiley staff, excellent food, Lee the assistant manager (I think) was super friendly, he was just so helpful as were all the staff we met.

Enjoyed our 2 nights stay, staff were great, food was good, room was comfortable and warm. Breakfast was good, lovely dining room with a beautiful garden to look out on. Location of hotel was good, a lovely old historic house. We would stay there again. Staff were very nice and looked after us well.

In a lovely position overlooking the river, with beautiful gardens. Hotel reception/public rooms need re decorating, they are very much have an 'old peoples home' look to it. Our room was very cold when we arrived, on a v.cold February day. In our room two radiators were actually turned off and heating not working. It took three hours to get the room comfortable. The windows are ancient, single glazed and BIG gaps even when fully closed, totally unacceptable! We had to ask for a portable heater. Dinner and breakfast was very nice, well cooked and quality ingredients. I just wish hotel "management" would rotate themselves and overnight in EVERY room to see how they feel about sub standard accommodation. It shouldn't be up to paying guests to point out deficiencies and quality control THEIR business.

Great hotel…excellent food…great location overlooking the river. Unfortunately we had an internal room with a very small window with no external light. Next time I’ll ask for an external room in the main house which evidently overlooks the river. Staff were friendly and efficient ?

Booking was easy and the hotel was exactly where we wanted to go. We got a warm welcome and our room was clean and smart and in line with the price we paid. Our evening meal, menu of the host, was exceptional and breakfast good too. We want to make the Valley Hotel our bolt hole since we enjoyed ourselves and everything was disabled friendly. Thank you

Super hotel stay. Rooms are a little worn and the only issue we had was the window catch was damaged and meant the window could not be shut. It was a bit noisy in the afternoon but was the quietest hotel I’ve ever stayed at despite being full. Food is absolutely amazing and the staff were all brilliant. Well worth a stay.

After a long drive from London through very wintry conditions we arrived to a very warm welcome from reception and the duty manager that made it all worth it. The room was warm and comfortable just what we needed after a long journey. We had dinner that evening that we could not fault and it was included as it was a Sunday evening. Breakfast the next morning was cooked to order with a wide buffet selection. During our stay we found all the staff very friendly and helpful thoughout the hotel, and this made to a very pleasent stay. It was a very nice touch that when we asked if the hotel had any history of the hotel that there was a booklet all about it in reception. One slight observation was that the curtains in the room were hanging off the rail in places.

Just spent 2 nights at this lovely hotel. The hotel was clean and the room lovely and warm in a cold February. The staff were very friendly, especially at breakfast where nothing was too much trouble. Ironbridge is such a lovely place to stay in the winter (even if the bridge is being renovated at the moment!) and the hotel setting is perfect. It was a great deal too. We will definitely return as it was so relaxing.

What a wonderful hotel if you want to experience Ironbridge and all it has to offer. We stayed on a leisure break which included a most superb meal in the chez restaurant both evenings.We were overlooking the gardens which was superb. All the staff go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.The breakfast buffet had a wide selection with all hot food being constantly replenished, and the quality was superb.Do enjoy the restaurant as the food is probably the best we have ever had in a group hotel.Superb choice,beautifully presented with a selection of very reasonably priced wines to compliment your meal. My husband had a soft shell crab as a starter he had never heard of the dish it was delicious served with an Asian salad.I don't usually comment on the food in so much detail but it really was superb,and all included in the room rate. If you are reasonably fit you can walk to most of the attractions from the hotel we never moved our car for 2 days.Do visit you will not be disappointed.
