Overall staff friendly and service good. Room adequate although very warm. If booking again we wouldnt book a package inclusive of dinner. Menu dull and similar most nights.

Delighted with our stay, the staff were welcoming and always willing to help answer any questions. The food each night for dinner was varied and delicious. Breakfast was buffet style and plentiful. Our room was clean and tidy with plenty tea and coffee facilities. Would recommend this hotel.

Couldn't fault our stay here, it is a quirky 18th century coaching inn, very clean but slightly dated which adds to the character, food and brvice was excellent. Would happily stay here again.

Really great stay in a clean comfortable room hotel staff are just all fantastic without being intrusive good stocked bar and small but private car park hotel right in the main street so ideal for everything 1 slight issue is could do with fitting decent sized telly in room as far to small to see anything decent on it

Very friendly staff in all departments. Had a room at the front of the hotel and it was noisy with young people driving fast and revving the engines. It was a nice big room , comfortable bed but bathroom in need of updating. Nice shower and new electric mirror but suite dated and several cracked floor tiles not acceptable.

This is an excellent base for Alnwick. The castle and gardens are based at the back of the hotel. Access to the parking is tight to get in to and spaces are limited. There is free 24 hr parking next to the castle. We got a good package with meal on both nights just had to pay for grandsons meal just a little thing would help if you are on a package print what you are entitled to 2 or 3 course......who can remember a month or more ago when you have booked. Also please put prices on for childrens meal we learnt from the first night the child portions are generous I would have been happy to just have the childs main, food was tasty and we all enjoyed the breakfast.? Staff throughout the hotel are very attentive.the lady on reception was very kind in turning off one of the radiators in our room. Way to hot for me but some people like heat during the night. Good size family room we all loved the shower good and strong with plenty room to move. Customer toilets next to the restaurant were emaculate. I've visited the white Swan for over 50 years for meals and staying over and would not hesitate to stay again ?

The White Swan is ideally located not just in the centre of the the town but in the centre of the Northumberland Coastal region. We stayed in the Warkworth Suite. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The service at the reception, in the bar and in the dining room was really good. We ate evening dinner and breakfast on two days and all the meals were very good with a good choice on the menu. The hotel feels like it has had a recent refurbishment, new bar/bistro, good carpets and general decor. The famous dining room is a lovey place to have a meal. The hotel offers good value for money through the myhotelbreak site. The hotel was not busy as the season does not kick of until Easter but there were still plenty of staff and the stay was very enjoyable. The room we had was large, clean and comfortable - very good shower. The layout is okay and the ergonomics for the tea and coffee area could be better - but there was lots of options for the tea and coffee. Ample car parking. Will be staying here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed out visit. Our room was warm and cosy and the bed really comfortable. Some parts of the Hotel are a little tired but this just adds to its charm... after all its a 300 year old coaching inn. Loved the dining room, so beautiful and i would advise popping into see it even if you don't stay the night. Staff are so friendly and helpful, even charged our phone rush charger as we had forgotten our lead. Can't fault this hotel at all and we will be back in the summer

Did not enjoy our stay at the white swan & would not recommend it especially if you have a good allergy . Also we came back from our day out to find our room door had been left open by the cleaner. The receptionist was very good & dealt with our complaint very well . Can’t say the same for the manager we are still waiting for him to address our complaint.

Well located in the town and even managed to get a space in the free car park. Rooms tired but clean and comfortable enough with plenty of and a good shower. Evening meal is good, well portioned and varied. Good choice of wines starting at around £26 per bottle. Staff were attentive and service is prompt. Olympic restaurant is an interesting historic quirk which was a highlight. The pre-booked Breakfast, although very nice would benefit from greater quantity of items on offer as they often run out of bacon etc especially when large groups are present. Bar was closed at 10pm and we had to telephone the night Porter to access the hotel at 1115pm. Rooms were serviced each day but no fresh towels were provided.

Very centrally located in Alnwick Main Street. Parking at rear or in free car park adjacent to hotel car park. Olympic room well worth a look whilst having breakfast. Hotel has a bizarre breakfast seating arrangement when busy where they allocate a table beforehand and get a bit angsty if you done like the table , ie too near door or serving area and want to change.

The staff were very attentive and exceptionally helpful. Food in the evening was excellent. My breakfast smoked salmon and scrambled egg was delicious but hubby was a bit disappointed with his English breakfast as the bacon and sausage was cool otherwise everything was very good

Lovely hotel, very friendly staff , in a great area very central to walk round about and see castle from back of hotel . A few wee issues that were a bit off but would rather email hotel direct . One issue was major painting being done and main stair case was out of use , this was a bit of a nuisance as we had a bit of a way to go to get to our room ( not easily navigated ) . If this was known to us we would’ve requested a more accessible room . Fabulous breakfast in lovely surrounds , very historical setting .

Staff friendly and helpful. Food good, however, the hotel is beyond tired. We paid extra for executive double room as it was birthday treat. The room had a large crack in the wall, the bathroom had mould/dirt on the window ledge, mould on the tiles and the taps were rusty. There was also a hole/indentation in the bedroom floor which felt like large pothole I am surprised we didn't end up in the bar below.

We were lucky to have refurbished rooms on the top floor. Rooms done to a good standard. Only problem is the fan from the kitchen that went on all night. Sleep was almost impossible with the noise. I don’t understand why it’s on all night. Lovely staff throughout. Breakfast felt like it was cooked hours before and it was warm.
