Had booked the hotel last minute and I’ve got to say the hotel room staff and restaurant was excellent and would highly recommend a stay in the hotel and a meal in the restaurant.

Great base for visiting Dumfries House. Large comfy room, very quiet. Food very good and staff friendly and helpful. Decor a bit tired but not an issue for us. Good value !

Food was excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful. We were a party of four in two double rooms, both booked around the same time and for the same price. It would have been hard to find two more different rooms! Theirs was huge, with two double beds, ample space and seating and a pleasant outlook from the window. Ours was tiny, with no chairs as there was no space for a chair, looking out on a blank wall 2m away and noisy pigeons nesting. Thankfully the bathroom was a decent size, with a good shower and fine towels. Unfortunately, however, we would not return as this room was not even close to the standard we have come to expect from Myhotelbreak.com.

Friendly staff, lovely Dinner and Breakfast. My wife and I had a good, large room - BUT, my Brother and Sister-in Law had a room which was disgracefully small, without even room fir a chair. We wouldn't return, in case we were treated similarly on another visit.

great stay, lived up to expectations after reading previous reviews. Room perfect, spacious and clean. food and drinks very good value, as was the deal itself. only slight improvement could be during check in. very slow as only one member of staff able to do this and busy in restaurant. No separate check in for residents. otherwise perfect and hope to return.

My wife & I spent only the one night in this hotel and there were no issues at all. It was a standard room which was bigger than some of the executive rooms in other hotels with a large on the wall TV with loads of channels, and the bathroom contained a bath with a very powerful shower. The food, both dinner and breakfast was first class. Genourous portions too. Had a few refreshments in bar and found the prices to be good too.

Great hotel, with a very friendly welcome from the staff. All staff we fantastic, food was awesome, from breakfast to dinner. Portion sizes were just right. We stayed in one of the executive rooms which was a fantastic size…room and bathroom were immaculate. We will definitely be back and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Nice couple of days Lovely room dinner was very good up to Rad hotel Stan dard Breakfast was okay but no fruit, yogurt pastries as you would expect Only drawback was reception in the resturant which you had to wait while diners were being seated Staff were very friendly

We stayed here for two nights and had a really lovely time. The hotel is very modern and our room was very spacious and comfortable. Food was very tasty and the staff very helpful and friendly. What's not to like? We have already booked to go back.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The rooms were in the old part of the building and the bathroom was in need of some structural repairs but this didn't detract from a great stay. The newer part of the hotel was lovely as was the food. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient.

Excellent food Exceptionally good happy staff very pleasant stay. Only one complaint could not really turn the shower on fully as too close to the wall but had a bath instead however rooms will getting a modernisation refit soom

We were booked into the Royal Hotel for an overnight Stay as we were atria Wedding Reception.From the moment we arrived the Staff were lovely and very helpful.We had food in the Bar Area.It was served quickly and was lovely.Our room was also lovely.Would definitely recommend this Hotel and we would stay again

Excellent value for money , staff we’re so friendly and helpful especially reception staff . Nice spacious rooms and dinner and breakfast was lovely . The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is very modern.would definitely come back

Had a lovely stay here , hotel lovely , stayed in room 1 , beautiful and the room had a four poster bed in it , food was lovely too and had breakfast delivered to the room also perfect, staff were really nice and helpful, would definitely stay here again ?
