I was really disappointed with this hotel after reading the reviews I expected better Our room wasn’t clean and there were no toiletries in the room, the staff were aloof and unapproachable Not what was expected

I am naturally very disappointed to read the review from Mary Dunn. We have never received feedback regarding our rooms not being clean as our rooms are only a couple of years old and they are at a very high standard. They are checked on a daily basis by our Head Housekeeper to ensure they are ready for guests arriving. Ms Dunn did raise the issue of no toiletries not being in the room and we can only apologies for this oversight. The front desk is manned 24/7 had let us know we could of rectified this. I apologies that the service was not up to expectations. We try to ensure every guest has the best possible experience from the moment they arrive to the moment the leave and I can only apologize this did not happen on this occasion. Recently modernised and very comfortable. Helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again if I need to stay in the area.

The breakfast was amazing, the staff was very kind. I liked the large room, and all the tea and treats they left us, with the exception that the bed was stiff as a board, Also, I was surprised by the wording on their site. It said "King Room" It should not be listed as a King room if it's not a King bed. We BARELY slept. They did explain to us that it is a European King. Good to know, wish I had known it before I booked, and not after I had checked in.

This little hotel is an excellent choice! Completely renovated has very comfortable rooms, complete new bathrooms, all the amenities . The restaurant is very very good. We were 8 people dining and everyone had an excellent meal. All the staff is extremely kind and friendly, they will go the extra mile for you. If you are traveling north and want to visit the distilleries this is the place to stay.

Stayed in the Glenrothes suite. Absolutely stunning. Had a meal in the evening and as much as it hurts me where I can normally give some feedback to improve the facility. This time I cannot. Everything was perfect even down to the complementary whiskey which was lying in wait in the room. The only thing that baffles me is why this hotel has not been awarded a 5 star rating.

We were blown away when we got to The Station Hotel. They had upgraded us to the Caperdonich Suite - one of the most amazing rooms of the highest quality we have ever seen, and not just in Scotland. Check it out on their site via accommodations, then choose suites & you'll see pictures of it. The hotel has been completely refurbished, has an amazing bar, and their restaurant was gourmet all the way. Our only regret was that we stayed one night. It's in the middle of the Whisky Trail, and near great historic sites as well as golfing. When we return to Scotland, we'll be booking a week there. Not to be missed!
