What a beautiful little gem of a place, Fantastic staff,Lovely luxury room and great breakfast (my choice of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon was delicious) Food in the fence gate pub the previous night (scallops and pork belly)was equally delicious. Definitely will go again

Wonderful hotel - staff are nice and helpful, rooms are beautifully decorated, bathrooms are well equipped with fabulous showers (and greaer pressure and lots of piping ). top quality bed linens and towels (important to a woman). they do a fantastic breakfast (lovely smoked salmon and scrambled eggs), and they are happy for you to take your time over eating breakfast. this is my favourite place to stay in the area because it has everything. very close to the fabulous pub and restaurant with fab food and plenty of different gins!

Lovely stay at Fence Gate. Staff very friendly and helpful also. Beautifully appointed rooms. Would have no hesitation using this hotel again
