The staff were very friendly, the room was very clean. It was a bonus, and a nice surprise, to have both a bath and a separate shower. The fact that we could also take our dog would mean that we would definitely stay again.

Really olde world building full of character and history has been kept really well in keeping with the age of the building. Perfect location for us with easy parking and excellent service.

Hotel ideally situated, staff welcoming & helpful. Clean room & sufficient toiletries, towels supplied. We were booked in for a meal in hotel with our package. Lovely cooked & presented food, good service & had a pleasant drink in the bar. Would stay here again.

I like the hotel but still needs loads more work to be done. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. The only thing that I can see needs to improve is windows need to be doubled glazed as the noise was bad in my room 110. And their were no iron board or iron in the bedroom. And the water for the hot was not hot at all. Apart from that I was happy. Best night was free wine to say sorry about the potato. That was a bonus. Congratulations to the chef he did very well

What a lovely old building, reminds you of luxury gone by. We had a high ceiling, tastefully decorated, room on the front of the building. Its on a busy road but we didn't hear any road noise. The bath was a treat, not something you get in modern hotels. Our only criticism was the restaurant menu, very limited and uninspiring. We had a taxi to Drakes Circus, £4, very reasonable(we didn't want to move our car from the hotel car park as we’d managed to secure a place). We then walked down the length of the main street and were a short distance from the hotel. It’s a 10 minute walk up to the Hoe, beautiful views. We were there for the fireworks championships. It’s ideally situated, i only wish we’d had fold up chairs like lots if the spectators.

The breakfasts were fine and the staff were pleasant. The location was great as it's near Plymouth Hoe, the Town centre and the Barbican area.
