The Macdonald Lochanhully Woodland Club in Carrbridge is a small, secluded resort with its trout lake ('lochan'), and is situated close to Loch Garten where magnificent Ospreys can be seen nesting each spring. The resort is also conveniently placed for the Cairngorm ski slopes.

After a day in the outdoors, the Scandinavian-style pine chalets near Aviemore offer you superbly furnished accommodation. Each has two cosy bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen, a lounge/dining area with colour TV, video and its conservatory.

During your stay at this Scottish Highland Resort wind down and relax by taking advantage of the Resort leisure facilities, where you can take a swim or workout in the gymnasium. The woodland cabins feature two bedrooms plus a spacious open-plan kitchen and lounge area. In the majority of lodges, there's also a large conservatory which extends from the living room offering additional dining space and delightful woodland views.

There are also a few one-bedroom apartments on this resort, perfect for couples or young families needing a little less space.

All kitchens are well equipped including a cooker, microwave and fridge as standard and the living areas all include a TV and a sofa bed should additional guests wish to stay. All lodges also have Wi-Fi.

Location & Directions

Directions to Macdonald Lochanhully Woodland Club 

ROAD - FROM NORTH take the A9. Just north of Aviemore take the Carrbridge exit onto A95. Continue north for two and a half miles, and take the B9153 Carrbridge road. Continue through Carrbridge village then turn right onto A938. Continue for half a mile.

ROAD - FROM SOUTH take the A9, the Carrbridge exit is A938. Follow this road for 2 miles, as you come into Carrbridge the road will bear off to the right, keep left going onto the Duthil road. You will find Lochanhully half a mile ahead on your left.

RAIL - Aviemore Railway station is 11 miles away from the resort.

AIR - Inverness Airport 35 miles.

As a guest, you can also take advantage of the preferential green fees at the Spey Valley Championship Golf Course next door to Macdonald Spey Valley Golf & Country Club.

Choose from tennis or you can learn fly fishing on the Resort lochan.
