BY CAR
A1(M) FROM THE SOUTH:
At Junction 65 on the A1, take the slip road off which is signposted A184 Gateshead/Newcastle (if you see the Metrocentre on your right hand side you have travelled too far). Follow the road staying in the left hand lane (but not turning off), this will take you straight over a roundabout and lead you to the Tyne Bridge (avoiding the Redheugh Bridge). Take the 1st exit off the Tyne Bridge then at the roundabout take the 4th exit off heading towards the Quayside, follow the road and take the right turning in front of Melbourne House, follow the road around to the left and down the bank to the river Tyne, you will see Malmaison (the second building) in front of you to your left. Parking is on the Sandgate car park, hotel residents are required to park on the 3rd floor (fees applicable).

A1(M) FROM THE NORTH:
Take the slip road off the A1 which is signposted A184 Gateshead/Newcastle. Follow the road staying in the left hand lane (but not turning off), this will take you straight over a roundabout and lead you to the Tyne Bridge (avoiding the Redheugh Bridge). Now follow directions from the Tyne Bridge.

FROM THE TYNE BRIDGE:
Take the 1st exit off the Tyne Bridge then at the roundabout take the 4th exit off heading towards the Quayside, follow the road and take the right turning in front of Melbourne House, follow the road around to the left and down the bank to the River Tyne, you will see Malmaison (the second building) in front of you to your left. Parking is on the Sandgate car park, hotel residents are required to park on the 3rd floor (fees applicable).

CAR PARKING:
The nearest car park is just behind the hotel – Sandgate Multi Story, parking costs £10 per night, when arriving Monday to Thursday or £6 per night when arriving from Friday to Sunday. There is a height restriction of 2.19 metres. Collect a ticket at the barrier upon entry to the car park, this can be validated at reception to exit the car park, with the charge applied to your room bill. These rates are based on 24 hour stays, shorter stays are available at £1.20 per hour, paid direct with the car park. Guests must use the Malmaison or public spaces on the top blue level of the car park. The postcode for Sandgate car park is NE1 2NG.

BY RAIL
We are located 10 minutes away from Newcastle Central Station by taxi (available outside the station), or 20 minutes on foot.

BY AIR
