Our Managing Director, Andrew, took a visit to see all the changes that have been made, here is what he had to say:

Gleddoch Hotel Spa & Golf has been a well-known hotel for many years, sitting proudly on the hillside overlooking the Firth of Clyde, 45 minutes from Glasgow city centre. Turning left at the roundabout at Langbank, the hotel is well signposted taking me up the hill and into the countryside. Gleddoch is only a mile or so from the main M8 corridor between Greenock and Glasgow. The sweeping drive leads you to the front of the hotel surrounded by its own 18 hole golf course.

It must be 3 years at least since I last stayed at Gleddoch and as soon as I entered the changes were very obvious from what I remember as a dark, traditional styling to the new bright, modern and chique.

I met with the Sales Director, Laura and Stacey, Gleddoch’s Reservations Manager, who were proud to show off the changes made. So far £6m has been spent on the hotel in every area. All rooms have been totally transformed and there are many choices available – Classic rooms, Executive rooms, 4-Posters, mini suites and suites. All are brand new from top to toe.

The refurbishment work is not yet quite complete, with more rooms coming on board in June. I did not see any disruption to the hotel with the work in progress.

The transformation of the hotel definitely puts Gleddoch back on the map as a relaxing and luxurious place to stay and confidently rate the hotel as high end 4*. The leisure and spa area is vast with a chill out lounge with heated recliners overlooking the Firth. There is also indoor and outdoor hot tubs.
