There are several room types to choose from, ranging from the Cosy wee double rooms, standard doubles and twins, standard king rooms, superior king rooms and the deluxe king room, each with all of the standard amenities and an en-suite bathroom. 

Small Double room 

The small double room is ideal for one person. It is situated on the lower ground floor overlooking the courtyard and is reached via the lobby stairs. The room features the below amenities:

Wee Double Room 

The Wee Double Rooms are located in the old house part of the hotel featuring the original period features. Located on the first and second floors, these rooms can be reached by the main staircase and are ideal for 1 or 2 people sharing. Features an en-suite bathroom and all of the standard amenities.

Standard Double Room 

The Standard Double Room is perfect for two people sharing. Complete with an en-suite bathroom, a flat-screen TV and all of the usual amenities to ensure a comfortable stay, including:

The Standard King / Twin Room is on the lower ground floor overlooking the car park. The room is reached by lobby stairs and features an en-suite bathroom, flat-screen TV and features all of the usual amenities for your comfort.

This room can be made into a twin with two single beds or a super king. Please state your preference in the 'special requirements box when completing your booking.

Standard King Room 

The Standard King Room is located on the ground floor overlooking the courtyard. This room can be accessed via the lobby stairs and features an en-suite bathroom, a flat-screen TV and the usual standard amenities.

Superior King / Twin Room 

The Standard King / Twin Room is on the lower ground floor overlooking the car park. The room is reached by lobby stairs and features an en-suite bathroom, flat-screen TV and features all of the usual amenities for your comfort.

This room can be made into a twin with two single beds or a super king. Please state your preference in the 'special requirements' box when completing your booking.

Superior King / Twin Accessible Room (there is only 1 available of this room type) 

These spacious accessible rooms are situated on the ground floor in the main house. They can be made into a King room or Twin Room. This room features all of the usual amenities, plus a large en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and a sitting area with two chairs and a coffee table.

Deluxe King Room 

The Deluxe King Rooms are spacious with lots of daylight and the original period features for some added character. These rooms can be reached via the main house staircase and feature an en-suite bathroom with both a shower and a bath. These rooms also have a small sitting area with two chairs and a table, as well as all of the usual amenities.

Bar & Restaurant

The 1902 Grill at the Dunmuir is one of Dunbar’s, East Lothian's leading award-winning restaurants. It has established a fine reputation for the quality of its cuisine and service. It was recognized for its culinary excellence and service.

Head Chef Darryl Hamilton has created an exciting selection of dishes that offer something for everyone. The emphasis is on fresh local/Scottish produce and with as much as possible made on the premises. Darryl works with a lot of local Scottish game and fish, and his signature dish is our amazing Scottish beef Wellington. The menu changes to reflect the seasons.

The cosy 1902 bar offers a great choice of local craft beers, the famous Belhaven Best Bitter, coupled with two great lagers and one cider on tap. With a great selection of bottled beers, Wines, Whisky and Malts and of course an eclectic range of Gins.

Relax and watch the big screen or just chill out with friends. This is a great place to sit and unwind. The bar also offers afternoon teas or the option to simply just pop in for a tea or coffee with some homemade shortbread. Dogs are also welcome in the bar area with owners, so you don't need to leave your furry companion behind.

Opening Hours

The hotel is open all year up to until Boxing day when we close until early January.

Food is served from 5 pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, Friday 6 pm until 8.30 pm and open all day Saturday and Sunday from 1 pm until 8.30 pm.
