The Farington Lodge Hotel near Preston is a splendid four-star Grade II listed Georgian house that is set amongst three acres of beautiful mature lawns and gardens. This country house hotel in Lancashire was built in the 1830s as a family home for a local Cotton Mill owner and then as a guest house used by nearby Leyland DAF for its important customers. Although the hotel has seen many changes throughout the years, many of its period features still remain, allowing Farington Lodge to retain its character. Conveniently located close to the M6, M61 and M65 motorways, Farington Lodge sits in a quiet rural spot with rolling Lancashire countryside making it ideal for a peaceful break and is not too far from the best sightseeing in the North West, including the stunning Lake District National Park.

Each of the 27 guest rooms at Farington Lodge is superbly comfortable.
The 9 bedrooms in the original house, including a romantic four-poster room, have all been recently redecorated and have beautiful new bathrooms. Some even have window seats overlooking the lawns.
18 further spacious executive bedrooms offer contemporary luxury, including a desk and sitting area, and underfloor heating. Two have wet rooms and all bathrooms have a separate bath and walk-in shower.

Set close to Leyland, near Preston, and just two minutes from the intersection of the M6, M61 and M65, Farington Lodge is easily accessible from all over the north of England.
Manchester Airport is only forty minutes away, and we are only three hours by train from London. The Hotel is within walking distance of Leyland Train Station.
From M6 south, M61& M65
Take the M6 to Junction 29 or M61 to Junction 9 and the follow signs for M65 Preston South. Continue to the end of M65 then turn left at the large roundabout.
Drive 200 metres to the next roundabout and turn left. 0.9 miles to traffic lights. Straight through lights and the entrance to Farington Lodge is 100 metres on the right.
From M6 north
Leave the M6 at Junction 28. Turn left at bottom of the slip road, then take the first right into Bow Brook Lane (opposite Best Western Hotel). This leads to Bow Lane.
Turn left at the T-Junction (church on left) into Moss Lane. Turn right at the mini roundabout (Vauxhall garage on right). Farington Lodge entrance is half a mile on left.

Pet Friendly: Farington Lodge is delighted to welcome well-behaved four-legged guests. There is a charge of £15 per dog per night and a maximum of two dogs per room and subject to availability. The charge will be added to the hotel. Please make sure dogs are not left unattended in your room as the hotel will charge for any damage.
