There is limited parking available within the grounds of the hotel some of which is bookable at £5.00 per day. Street parking available outside the hotel grounds.

Nearest Airport
Glasgow International Airport is the nearest airport to Rothesay in the Isle of Bute.

• Option 1
From Glasgow airport, you can either take the bus or the taxi to Paisley Gilmour Street Station which is about 2 miles away. You can then take the train to Wemyss Bay (40 mins). When you arrive in Wemyss Bay, take the ferry to Rothesay (35 mins ride). Upon arriving in Rothesay take a short 10 mins walk or alternatively, catch a taxi to The Glenburn Hotel.

• Option 2
Take a taxi from Glasgow International Airport Directly to Wemyss Bay (55 mins) and board the ferry to Rothesay (35min). After alighting, take a walk (10 Mins) or a taxi to The Glenburn Hotel.

• Option 3
From Glasgow, take a train directly from Glasgow Central Station to Wemyss Bay (50 mins) and board the ferry to Rothesay (35min). After alighting, take a walk (10 Mins) or a taxi to The Glenburn Hotel.

Rothesay can be reached by ferry from the mainland via 2 routes (both services are non-bookable) with Caledonian MacBrayne

Guests staying on a dinner inclusive rate will receive 3 course dinner from the table d'hote in the main restaurant (Unless otherwise stated). Glenburn Hotel also has another restaurant should you prefer to dine in there guests will receive an allowance of £6 pppn towards the cost of a 2 course or £7.50 towards 3 course. There is limited parking available within the grounds of the hotel some of which is bookable at £5.00 per day. Street parking available outside the hotel grounds. Pets are not allowed in the hotel. Wifi access is available only in certain areas of the property. The Glenburn Hotel will close for winter between 14th December 2018 - 18th February. During the month of February the hotel will only be open midweek.

There is much to see and do on the tiny Isle of Bute. This idyllic island is just 33 miles from the Glasgow (as the crow flies) and is known for its delightful gardens, impressive architecture and is also the perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts.
