4th time staying at the Glenburn, room great, staff could not do enough for you, Sophie in the main dinning room was lovely, and took her time to speak to us and remembered us from last time, as did Thomas. Michael also remembered us from before and took the time out of his busy day to talk to us. Husband had the Venison dish, again as he has done previously , as it was delicious. Husband has said that if Colin takes it off the menu he will not return!! LOL. Helpful staff in the breakfast room, providing Gluten free toast for my husband who is Coeliac. We will return as we love the hotel and staff.

The room was clean though very dated. Bathroom window wouldn't open & bath felt unsafe to stand in whilst showering. Plenty choice for breakfast though link sausages were fed to the dogs. Very cheap brand I guess. Ideal situated for walking to town. Wouldn't stay again.

We had a lovely 2 night stay in this grand old hotel. The staff couldn't have been nicer. The food was really tasty and very well presented. Our room was great the beds were so.comfortable with fantastic pillows. Would most certainly be happy to stay again.

This hotel is stunning! The gardens are beautiful exterior of building well maintained.internally tastefully decorated in keeping with the age of building (not your bland neutral decor and basic functionality of certain modern 'inns'!). Staff-in all areas of hotel pleasant friendly and welcoming Bedrooms-spacious spotlessly clean Breafast-buffet with plenty of choice Dinner-outstanding! Highly recommend for quality service and value for money

Beautiful setting for the Hotel, rooms badly in need of an upgrade (especially the bathrooms) also couldn’t open any of the room windows, food excellent but unable to get a tea or coffee at the bar after 9.30pm

It is obvious the hotel is going through an upgrade. Dinner is between 6.30-8pm. We booked for 7.45 and had to wait in the bar as our table was not ready. When we got to our table with the menu we were approached shortly after for our choices as "the kitchen closes in a minute" Not great as there is nowhere in Rothesay for food in the evening?

Lovely weekend away in the Glenburn. Hadn't been for a few years but it didn't disappoint. Staff were all fantastic and very courteous and the food was great - both dinner and breakfast. Will definitely be back soon.

Fantastic venue for a weekend away. Staff were so helpful and friendly and in particular Debbie the Receptionist. She couldn’t do enough and always had a smile for everyone. All the guests were smiling and friendly which makes for an eventful stay and that’s down to staff being friendly. Will be back again

Relaxing break. Hotels does need some upgrades, especially on arrival, outside needs railings painted badly, and entrance to front stairway needs repaired, as it was closed off again. We visited towards the end of last year and this stairway outside was the same then. Also carpet in bedroom was very badly stained and needs cleaned. Staff excellent. Breakfast buffet style and very good. Nice lounge to have a drink and relax in the evening. Outstanding views from Hotel.

Beautiful building with excellent views. As you would expect for such an old and large building some areas are in need of maintenance but doesn't effect your stay. Hotel staff get 5,stars from reception, bar, breakfast and cleaning staff they were exceptional. Dinner in the evening was excellent which could be taken in either the restaurant or large bar area. Buffet breakfast had everything you could ask for

A lovely weekend and great staff taking care of us. You can see that some investment has gone into the hotel with very comfortable rooms and excellent food.

The carpet in our dog friendly room was very badly marked: far worse than other hotels we’ve stayed at with a dog. Charging £15 a night without cleaning the carpet is a bit steep.

Second time staying at the Glenburn, room great, staff could not do enough for you, Sophie in the main dinning room was lovely, and took her time to speak to us and remembered us from April. We passed on our compliments to Michael for Colin's (Chef) Venison dish, which my husband had both nights, as it was delicious, Colin also took the time to speak to us. Helpful staff in the breakfast room, providing Gluten free toast for my husband who is Coeliac. Looking forward to going back again hopefully in April 2025.

Very pleasant stay , staff at front of house, restaurant , Breakfast and lounge very personable and a credit to the hotel. Some areas of the hotel do reflect the age of the building, but that is to be expected. Certainly the good weather helped with the overall ambience.

We often stay at the Glenburn. Greatly enjoy our visits. Large roomy hotel with lots of character and charm. Sit out on the terrace and take in the views!
