Very nice hotel. The decor was lovely and the wood panelling gave a feeling of grandeur. All furniture in the public areas and the bedrooms was good quality and solid. The food was excellent, well presented and tasty. The staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient.

When we arrived at reception we were met with a friendly smile from a very polite lad and waited no time at all to check in . We were given a room on the 2nd floor , it was quite a big room, very clean and bright. The bed was comfortable, tea & coffee were provided but no biscuits. The Housekeeping staff were nice and asked if we required more tea/coffee on our second day. Breakfast was self service which was good, you could help yourself to cereals cooked breakfast, fruit juice and toast , the staff asked if you wanted a pot of tea or coffee when you entered the dining area. We had dinner in the Bar which we really enjoyed, good choices of food on the menu , catering for everyone , delicious food and great service. We really enjoyed our break here , we will definitely return to this hotel as it was very relaxing . Staff were efficient, friendly and polite

Had a lovely night away, bedroom was lovely very comfortable mattress and pillows. The staff were amazing and very friendly. The food was great and portions huge. A few signs of wear and tear but hotel is Victorian and I found it charming overall. Thr breakfast room was lovely and again staff were first class. Amazing view from the terrace also. I will look forward to returning

The hotel is old and grand. Very large but with limited parking. Rooms have seen some investment but are old fashioned. Despite this they are large and comfortable with all necessary amenities. Staff at the hotel are attentive and efficient. The food is excellent. We had a bar meal on one night of our stay which was first class. Breakfast is also very good.

The Glenburn is a very impressive hotel. Nice large areas for sitting, great restaurant used for breakfast. The room I was allocated was clean and large. The evening meal menu is good, and competivley priced. service was excellent, staff very customer focused. Lovely seating on the balcony with excellent views.

Shower in the en-suite was dreadful and quite frankly dangerous (Room 301).

Great location, super views from seaview rooms and from hotel terrace. Recently opened and building needs some upgrading, though is on going. Surprised no biscuits supplied with tea and coffee in room, unlike other Bespoke hotels we have stayed in. No fruit of any kind available at breakfast, staff said they'd run out, but none on either morning. Dinner menu a bit patchy in quality, though enjoyed what we had. Did enjoy our stay, friendly helpful staff at all mealtimes. Will certainly be back!

Just returned from 2 nights at the Glenburn Hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beds and rooms were really comfortable and absolutely spotless. There was a lovely atmosphere about the place and the staff really looked after us. I worked in this hotel 40 years ago when it was very grand, and although not quite as grand now it has retained it's character and is still stunning. The Glenburn was closed for 2 years and there is clearly work in progress which is great. I hope this continues as we will definitely be back soon.

Easy 10 minute walk from the ferry terminal and town centre. A grand old building, friendly staff, good standard of reasonably priced food, rooms clean, comfortable bed. Only criticism would be the size our standard double room (no.317), which was narrow at the bedhead end (only space for one bedside table, so would have been more suited as a single room rather than a double). And the WiFi signal was practically non-existent in that room. Large bathroom, clean but a little dated, and shower rather poor. Overall, a pleasant stay, and would return if could be guaranteed a larger room.

My husband, my four year son and myself spent two nights at the Glenburn Hotel. I have to say it was the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff were excellent, friendly and so helpful and made you feel so welcome. The rooms were exceptional and immaculate and the beds were so comfortable. The food was brillant and everything was so well organised really first class service. The Hotel had so much charm and history it was a very impressive building nestled into the hill of Rothesay. Really a huge thank you to the Glenburn staff and hotel for making our stay so wonderful we will definitely be back to stay.

Splendid building in prime location with fantastic views overlooking Rothesay Bay. Staff very friendly, helpful and hard-working. Bedroom very clean but decor and bathroom very dated. Limited food menu served in bar only.

Excellent service, lovely room, good meal choices. I was surprised that the only potatoes offered were chips. Roast potatoes, jacket, etc, would have been only two of many alternatives. Also, there were too many chips, not nearly enough vegetables on the plate, and everything was a little bit too salty. However, the food was not too expensive.

We had a beautiful time @ the Hotel The only downfall was the breakfast Was far to dry probably due to being precooked and left for service when asked for, Couldn’t eat it and had to go for something @ a nearby cafe . Also had to ask for toast n coffee after sitting around for 15 mins. Such a shame as it’s a beautiful place otherwise. Mrs Bann and family
