Individual, elegant and refined, the bedrooms at Goldsborough Hall offer the ultimate in comfort and luxury. All rooms are beautifully designed and furnished, with en-suite bathrooms, 50in plasma TVs and all the creature comforts you need. Experience for yourself the history and elegance of staying in a Royal residence - once home to HRH Princess Mary during the 1920s.

Some of the rooms are situated in the main Hall, others are in the adjoining 1800s Dower House or the Garden House. One of the rooms has been designed for accessible use and has a walk-in shower.

The Dining Room
Enjoy the sumptuous fine dining experience in the magnificent setting of the Dining Room at Goldsborough Hall.

The Head Chef Josh Barnes and his talented team use only premium quality, locally sourced produce, including fresh herbs and vegetables from the house’s own kitchen garden, to create dishes that consistently surprise and delight.

Whilst browsing the menu enjoy a pre-dinner drink and nibbles in the Jacobean Library or outside on the terrace in the summer months. You will then be taken through to the dining room where your meal will be served, accompanied by your choice of fine wines from the cellar.

Resident guests also have the opportunity of taking this menu in the privacy of the bedroom suites.

The Orangery
The Orangery is the perfect area in which to enjoy some real family time for either lunch or afternoon tea followed by a stroll around the historic gardens. The Orangery looks out over the gorgeous private grounds of the Hall and has ample seating either inside or, in summer, outside on the Terrace.

Lunch is served in the Orangery from 12.00 to 3.00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Produce is sourced from local suppliers or from our own kitchen garden. Menus change seasonally and are accompanied by hand-picked wines.

Royal Afternoon Teas
Royal Afternoon Teas are served Wednesday - Sunday. Teas can be taken in the Orangery, in the Jacobean Library, in The Princess Mary Drawing Room or outside on The Terrace, weather permitting. The afternoon teas are served from 2 pm to 4 pm each day and are freshly made to order. The afternoon tea menu changes seasonally.

Directions to Goldsborough Hall near Harrogate

Goldsborough Hall is 5 miles east of Harrogate, off the A59 between Harrogate and the A1(M)

From the A1(M)
Exit the A1(M) at junction 47 and follow the A59 west towards Knaresborough and Harrogate. Take the second left onto Station Road after approximately 1 mile, signposted Goldsborough Village Only and follow that road into the village. At the T junction opposite the Bay Horse Inn, turn left onto Church Street. After approximately 350 yards turn right through the 2nd archway, immediately prior to the Church. Drive straight through the courtyard to arrive at the main entrance of Goldsborough Hall.

From Harrogate
Exit Harrogate to the South and join the A658 Harrogate bypass, heading east towards York. At the roundabout where the A658 joins the A59, turn right, signposted Goldsborough Village Only and follow that road into the village. You will enter the village through two narrow gate pillars. Please be careful to give way to oncoming traffic. Follow this road round to the left where you will find the Bay Horse Inn on your right. After approximately 350 yards turn right through the 2nd archway, immediately prior to the Church. Drive straight through the courtyard to arrive at the main entrance of Goldsborough Hall.

Front of House parking:
There is space for up to 20 cars to park at the front of the hall and along the gravel drive, available on a first come basis. The gates to the front of the hall are closed at night for security.

Covered or garaged parking may also be available in the private courtyard to the side of the Hall. This must be booked in advance and there is a charge of £10 per night for garaged parking. Please call the Hall on  in advance to reserve your space.

Dinner Inclusive
Unless otherwise stated guests staying on a rate inclusive of dinner will receive dinner from the 5 course taster menu. As all food is sourced from local suppliers and prepared fresh on the day, to avoid disappointment we do suggest that you confirm your dining requirements at the time of booking. Please also mention any dietary requirements at the time of booking.

Best Available Room
Best Room Available - you will be allocated the best available room on check in. Please note that an upgraded room is not guaranteed, unless you have opted to pay the supplement for a guaranteed upgrade. Please refer to Terms and Conditions for full details.

Pet Friendly
Dogs are welcome at the Goldsborough Hall Hotel. There is a charge of £20 per dog per night which will be applied to your booking on check out at the hotel.

Children's Rates.
When making a reservation to include children, the rate quoted by us will not include the children. Garden Openings and Tours

While the gardens are not generally open to the public, Goldsborough Hall is proud to continue the tradition started by HRH Princess Mary (who lived here in the 1920s) of opening them twice a year as part of the National Garden Scheme. The Hall also opens the gardens for two Snowdrop Days in February.

Afternoon tea & lunch guests and Hall residents are free to stroll round the royal gardens at their leisure.

The Hall also offers private guided tours for groups throughout the season (£16.50pp for a minimum of 10). Included in the garden tour is tea and a fresh cream scone served in the Hall, along with a garden guide and a history talk on the house.
