Great hotel lovely staff food good

Mixed feelings about our stay, room clean but directly outside was a flat roof with several noisy units pushing out hot air, due to the noise we had to keep our window shut which made the heat in the room unbearable. On the flip side the staff were all helpful, evening meal was good as was the deal for the night. The reception area has been renovated and very smart just need to do the same to the room, you shouldn’t have a wardrobe with a hole where the handle was! Breakfast very limited and slow service. Good location with lots to do close-by

The front lounge, dining room and bar areas have been renovated to a high standard. Lovely fresh and comfortable. I like the idea of the piano bar, giving guests a quiet space away from the busy spats bar/ longe bar. The staff were all very friendly and helpful at all time. The food in the restaurant was good, and plenty of choice from the set menu. But unfortunately the service was quite slow, especially at breakfast time. The rooms are waiting for a much needed upgrade. The room was large and clean, it had a recent coat of paint on the windows, but the bathroom window was stuck open wide enough for other guest to see in from their window. The roller blind pull cord kept snapping. However, We did enjoy our stay and would recommend this hotel, for a quiet break away.

We had booked in for lunch ,dinner, bed and breakfast. Hotel is lovely, staff are friendly and service was great. Our room was very comfortable and great value for money. The food was excellent and fantastic size portions, great selection on the menu. Looking forward to coming back. Would highly recommend it.

Beautiful hotel, with great rooms spotlessly clean comfortable bed the linen and towels are of a high standard. The food in the newly refurbished restaurant was first class and the same at breakfast lot's of things to choose from Mark and Chris, Alexis and all the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great comfortable stay.

Had a brilliant weekend stay, fantastic location lovely cosey spacious room and David was a brilliant friendly host who was full of knowledge of the area. Breakfast was included which was lovely Will definitely be returning.

Clean and friendly. Perfectly located on John Muir Way, where we were walking. The staff were very pleasant.

Great staff. Decent room separate bathroom with bath and shower , bedroom and a seating area with tv. Room was a little warm. Nice bar area.
