Had a great “Murder Mystery” event/stay. I gather that was the hotels 1st time hosting this type of event and it was very enjoyable. Food was excellent, both in the evening and the cooked breakfast (non cooked options were quite limited). The bedrooms are adequate. Comfortable beds, quality carpet and towels. Just a bit dated, as other reviews had noted, so as expected. The hotel public areas are are tastefully done and are obviously invested into.

Stayed here for the night in October, reasonable food for dinner and breakfast, room was clean and warm. Very quiet but we enjoyed it.

Nice hotel / nice rooms . Clean , food was good . Staff were all welcoming , manager had time for a chat and made us feel very welcome . Sadly one female member of staff was not great at her job. Overall a good stay !

Comfortable room in need of a freshen up. Signs of a leak which had been painted over but was quite apparent. Food was excellent and staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was of a high quality and well presented. Would definitely consider staying here again.

What a fabulous hotel. So relaxing with lovely staff and the breakfast was amazing as was dinner the night before. We both had fish and chips which were delicious.

We arrived early and at reception they allowed us to check in early after checking room was ready. The room was amazing and for what we paid i was surprised and the view was lovely as well. We went to the restaurant for food and i will say this the food was delicious, i will definatley be booking to stay again and will recommend all my family and friends to try it.

Accommodation was alright. The reception area, bar and restaurant were all lovely. Staff were really nice and very helpful. The bedroom was a good size, but in need of refurbishment. The food was good and nice and hot. We will be back as its great value for money and very central for exploring that area.

Excellent stay. Staff lovely and very helpful when asked. Food delicious even although had to ask for a daddy bag. Would recommend this hotel and would stay again. Also vey clean room and hotel.

Mixed feelings about our stay, room clean but directly outside was a flat roof with several noisy units pushing out hot air, due to the noise we had to keep our window shut which made the heat in the room unbearable. On the flip side the staff were all helpful, evening meal was good as was the deal for the night. The reception area has been renovated and very smart just need to do the same to the room, you shouldn’t have a wardrobe with a hole where the handle was! Breakfast very limited and slow service. Good location with lots to do close-by

The front lounge, dining room and bar areas have been renovated to a high standard. Lovely fresh and comfortable. I like the idea of the piano bar, giving guests a quiet space away from the busy spats bar/ longe bar. The staff were all very friendly and helpful at all time. The food in the restaurant was good, and plenty of choice from the set menu. But unfortunately the service was quite slow, especially at breakfast time. The rooms are waiting for a much needed upgrade. The room was large and clean, it had a recent coat of paint on the windows, but the bathroom window was stuck open wide enough for other guest to see in from their window. The roller blind pull cord kept snapping. However, We did enjoy our stay and would recommend this hotel, for a quiet break away.

We had booked in for lunch ,dinner, bed and breakfast. Hotel is lovely, staff are friendly and service was great. Our room was very comfortable and great value for money. The food was excellent and fantastic size portions, great selection on the menu. Looking forward to coming back. Would highly recommend it.

Beautiful hotel, with great rooms spotlessly clean comfortable bed the linen and towels are of a high standard. The food in the newly refurbished restaurant was first class and the same at breakfast lot's of things to choose from Mark and Chris, Alexis and all the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great comfortable stay.

Great staff. Decent room separate bathroom with bath and shower , bedroom and a seating area with tv. Room was a little warm. Nice bar area.
