w build lovely hotel, in the grounds of Charlton hall and a number of converted outbuildings as individual high-quality lodges. Modern fittings, furnishings and decors are clearly quality. Service was friendly, welcoming and reasonably efficient and any problems would only be down to inexperience and the fact that it was all very new. The restaurant was OK although the seating was a bit close together. The food (evening) was OK but nothing special and quite expensive for what it was. Breakfast was good.

Absolutely loved this place. My wife and I booked an overnight stay, with dinner and breakfast. Room was fantastic. The food was brilliant and reasonably priced. Plenty of choice on the menu and I think there is something on there for everyone The staff were brilliant and very attentive. We will be back. The grounds and the old Hall are incredible. All I can say is, it's a night of luxury for a reasonable price

Stayed at the Tempus in June for my 40th and I have to say this is the most beautiful hotel I have seen in a long time. Incredibly comfortable beds, stunning bathrooms, Nespresso machines in the room and the decor is amazing paired up with great quality. We had dinner at the Tempus restaurant which was outstanding paired with great warm service. Great choice of around the world wines, tasty tails and locally sourced seasonal produce. Hotel is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is only short country lane off the A1 which is perfect for not only getting here but also exploring Northumberland coast, Alnwick, and country walks. I wish we stayed longer and 100% will be back in near future!
