Very disappointed that we were booked for an overnight stay before flying out the next day. Arrived to a very rough crowd who were there for a darts tournament. Checked in and went down to the bar. Couldn’t get moving for people. Ordered some drinks from the bar and was told that certain drinks were not available. On top of that they were served in plastic tumblers. no where to sit. Had booked in for dinner to be told that there was a limited menu because of the darts. Nothing else available. Not a good start to a holiday. Cancelled our dinner reservation and walked down to the town to get food. Not impressed that no alternatives are available for residents. On the other hand breakfast was very good and service was excellent by the one member of staff on duty. Had decided to stay here for a quite night, a few drinks and food before flying out on holiday. Not a good experience. We have used this hotel numerous times before and each time it gets progressively worse.

I stayed for one night, after checking in headed to the room, after walking a hall which resembled a cross between the shining and a school dorm, there was a black bag of rubbish sitting outside the door which sat there all night. The room was really tired and didn't even look hoovered and if I hadn't pre paid I would have just gone home. Went down for dinner part of the overnight was a 3 course dinner and breakfast, we were handed a menu so we ordered a starter and main each first. The food was really nice but no tattare sauce for the haddock and got mayonnaise as a replacement when the meal was nearly done. The server was lovely, rushed off her feet cleaning tables but the restaurant was practically empty and once dinner was finished we sat for a long time waiting to order desert and coffee but ended up leaving as it wasnt offered and the server was sitting at the restaurant reception. We decided to head to the bar and have a few tails but the server stopped us and informed us that although a 3 course was part of the overnight we only had an allowance of £15 each... starters were from £5 and mains from about £13 so clearly a 3 course was not even an option. I paid the extra for the 2 starters and 2 mains we had. Tried to order tails at the bar which was so badly stocked that barely any of the tails on the menu could be made but again the barman was lovely and did his best with the little stock he had. We had one tail and went to bed about 9 quite bored and disappointed. Breakfast the next morning was again really nice, could not fault it at all and server was so nice. The staff in the Normandy are a credit to the place and the chef is great but they are let down by being understaffed and understocked. I think the Normandy needs to be honest about what it is, a function hotel for weddings and a stop over for airport travellers and stop advertising as a hotel for people going for an overnight as a wee treat because not only was there no 3 course, there is no mention of a £15 cut off per head online and I had to pay extra. I would honestly cry if I'd chosen to go here for a romantic overnight as it was actually a pretty depressing place and there's a massive disconnect between the downstairs and the horrible dormitory style rooms upstairs. The staff and food are great though and sadly the best thing about the place. I'd never stay here again and definitely would not recommend unless it's literally just a bed to sleep over to get to the airport easier.

We were In room 126, on entering the room was very cold as the windows were open. There was a fairly large wet patcder the radiator which must have been leaking. The remote control didn't work and was held together with black tape. The restaurant was quiet although we were aware there was a massive party night on next door, half the menu was unavailable, we did wait a while on our food But we did enjoy it ok. Slept well enough and didn't go for breakfast.

I raised a complaint with yourselves due to the sub standard condition of the room. Paid extra for King size bed two single beds pushed together.Queried at reception to be told they would refund the difference ie £10.00? My issues including photographs have been sent to and acknowledged by Stacey Whitters. Room was dark very basic furnishings chipped and stained, Cloth on headboard worn. £138.00 is a disgraceful charge. As I stated previously my next course of action will be depend upon your reply enclosing a FULL REFUND.

Booked the room with dinner and breakfast rate. Staff and food were excellent. Room was a little small and decor tired. However, for the room rate charged it an observation, not a complaint, I have stayed in worse and paid more. The car park rate confused me a little at booking, it looked like there was a £15 supplement to park, that is only if you are leaving your car for the week, the parking is free while you stay at the hotel. Will definitely stay again

Stayed in room 341 worst looking room we have stayed in. Needs decorating dirty walls peeling paint dirty carpet. Check in 3pm never got into room till 4.30pm. There was a wedding on so asked for a room away from wedding got put right above function hall. No sleep till 2.30am with noise. We booked Dbb choice not good tomato soup tasted like it was packet. Fish batter overdone. Sticky toffee pud good. Down stairs part of the hotel was nice but our room was tiny and needs refurbishment.

Hotel well located for visiting Glasgow and Firth of Clyde areas, next to Golf club and Glasgow Airport. Pleasant lounge/bar area. Enjoyable evening meal and great breakfast.

Last minute overnight stay and value for money. Rooms very warm but a fan was provided if you asked. Wine in room was Red but managed to get it changed to Rose. Appreciated the late check out. Only downside was bar closed at 10.30 even though Scotland moved to level 0 that day, thought it was supposed to be midnight?

Booked just for a wee night away and very enjoyable it was. The reception girl was really friendly and welcoming. The room was fine, comfy bed and seemed spotlessly clean. Nice bathroom. On the down side the room could do with a coat of fresh paint and the furniture was a bit tatty, but overall it was OK. Quite noisy in the morning but I guess that was people leaving for the airport. Our deal included a bottle of wine which was good, and dinner. The fish and chips were excellent. It's a shame the hotel was so empty except for a coach party who all seemed to go to bed at 9pm. Really nice lounge bar but to be honest, it was bloody freezing. Enjoyed our night away and if they keep the prices reasonable we will definitely go again.

Well located for Glasgow Airport and used for travellers accordingly but we used the hotel to visit Glasgow and area. Small room but adequet and only minimum noise from aircraft experienced. Restaurant staff very capable and friendly food great, both for evening meal and breakfast, adding to an enjoyable stay.
