Lovely hotel set in nice grounds with lots of original features. Dinner in the restaurant was first class and there was a good selection at breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Bedroom and bathroom clean but in need of refurbishment, as do some parts of the hotel, which look tired. Bed very comfortable. Food in the Linden Tree was very good but the bar prices in the hotel were very expensive. All in all though a very pleasant stay.

We could not fault our stay at the Linden Hall Hotel, everything was simply amazing and we enjoyed the relaxed, lay back atmosphere. We enjoyed time in the pool, spent time in the Linden Tree pub where we also had an exceptional meal before returning to our room which was lovely. In the morning we enjoyed a great breakfast and would like to thank all the staff for making our stay, although short, so memorable.

We had an enjoyable stay, but a few points were not impressed with: Lady in spa was not very helpful, unprofessional. (I have been a beauty the for 36 years and would not treat my clients like she treated/spoke to us). My husband asked for more custard for his crumble, and was told there wasnt enough for the remainder of the service, so he couldn't have any. We never complain but I think the hotel should know when guests are unhappy.

Staff were excellent but the hotel could do with an upgrade as it's a bit dated.

Rooms were very disappointing, desparately in need of upgrading. Took my friend who is terminally ill so you can imagine my disapointment. I spokw with staff who offered an other room at £30 for upgrade but was very little difference for the extra money. So kept our shabby room. I have pictures.

Had an amazing stay at Linden Hall for my partners birthday. Food at the Linden Tree pub on site was excellent quality and value, and the breakfast was also top quality. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed as a group of 8 ladies, we used the pool, jacuzzi and sauna. We had a fabulous time renewing and making new friends. Beds were comfy and the pillows were the fluffiest ever — like sleeping on a cloud of marshmallow! And the bottle of Prosecco in each room went down a treat! Apologies if we were noisy and thanks to the staff who brought us plenty of ice to our room! Breakfast next morning had plenty of choice and was delicious!

We stayed here with our Greyhound dog, we found the hotel really dog friendly. Staff were lovely and very helpful. The hotel itself was very comfortable and warm, a nice environment to sit in the lounge and have a coffee. Breakfast was excellent.. We would love to return in the spring and enjoy walking further round the vast grounds, than what we managed to do on this visit. Regards Joy & W Owens

Nice hotel very clean. Bathroom could do with a refurb but you get what you pay for Beds too soft for me but lovely linen Spa was lovely and apart from jacuzzi being of was working and sunbeds to sit round the pool very comfy Had emailed and asked for the £139 deal which offered dinner bed and breakfast but she had no note which caused a little confusion. Food was nice but quite expensive Had mentioned it was a birthday but nothing extra noted

A nice hotel but some areas are very dated especially the pool spa, found some of the staff a bit lacking awareness but overall a pleasent stay. Would have referred to eat in the Dobson resteraunt instead of the bar where the menu was limited.

Lovely overnight spa break, friendly, helpful staff. We upgraded our room for an extra £20, and it was lovely overlooking the gardens and close to the pool, dressing gown and slippers were supplied. Ouemr evening meal was served in the Linden pub and breakfast in the hotel, both meals were excellent

Lovely building and great spa break. Room was spacious enough and clean though could do with a bit of TLC in certain places. Only problem was that the room was very hot overnight. Spa was clean and ok, everything you need. Was a bit busy when we were there but it was school holidays so to be expected. We didn't have a massage as a bit pricy but might treat ourselves another time. The food was very good both evening meal and breakfast though the service could have been a little bit quicker. This wasn't a problem for us could be for anyone in a hurry.

Our deal included: two nights B and B with dinner each night and a bottle of Prosecco in room on arrival. £30pppn towards dinner (food only). Dinner to be taken in hotel restaurant, Linden Tree pub or used against the hotel bar menu. If you underspend the £30 on one night the balance is not transferable - it’s lost. On arrival: booked in quite quickly. Room was on ground floor near Spa area. Decent sized room with huge double bed. Very comfy. Decent sized bathroom - bath with shower over, heated towel rail, nice towels and Elemis toiletries. Bar and seating areas: you can get a limited selection of food in the bar area. Only one beer on tap (Guinness I think) others in bottles/cans. Nice seating area around the bar. There are other areas close to the bar with comfy seats. Billiard room: had a game. Pick up balls from reception and the room is downstairs. The table was in pretty good condition. Unfortunately most of the cues had no tips. The score board had sliders missing and the light above it was not working. Restaurant: we ate in hotel restaurant once for dinner. Food and service were both very good. Be aware that the prices shown on the hotel web site for restaurant food is (or was when we were there) lower than the real price - the rib eye steak on line was showing at about £28 but on the menu in the restaurant it was £38 - ouch. Had breakfast both mornings - good selection from hot menu. Staff very busy in the morning so service was slow. Pool/spa area: used the pool and steam room only. All good. Sign in and get a nice towel. The area was clean and showers good. Only minor gripe no poly bags for wet swimwear. Linden Tree pub: had dinner in pub on one night. Good selection. Well cooked and great service. Number of beers on tap in the pub. Had a club sandwich one day after a long walk around the grounds and golf course - it was great and good value. Improvements: it would be nice if the food allowance could “follow you round” for the duration of your stay allowing you to - buy a sandwich at lunch and it comes off your total and the remainder could be used for dinner. General: have been to Northumberland a number of times so know the area quite well and didn’t do much travelling about. But for those wishing to explore this would be a good base. And finally the key question - would I go back to this hotel? Yes definitely.

We had a lovely stay despite being woken up at 5.15 with the noise from the kitchen extractor fans. They were quite loud and with single glazed windows it was a bit of an issue. The food at the Linden Tree Pub was very good despite being a little pricey.
