The Ranald Hotel is home to a choice of 17 ensuite guest rooms and 11 one bedroom apartments.

All of the modern guest rooms contain en-suite showers, comfortable king or super king size beds, duck down pillows as well as complimentary WiFi, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryers and flat screen TVs with freeview.

The Ranald Hotel offers one ground floor disabled access super king size guest room.

Please be aware that there is no lift in The Ranald Hotel, however staff are always on hand to help with luggage. 

Compact Room
If you’re looking for a one night stopover, the Compact Rooms are ideal! At just 9.5 sq metres, the Compact Rooms contain everything you need in compact surroundings.

These rooms offer a king sized bed suitable for 2 people along with similar amenities found in all the rooms throughout the hotel. Unfortunately, Compact Rooms cannot be made up as a twin room and are not suitable to hold a cot or an extra bed for infants or children.

Standard Room
The Standard Rooms, approximately 14sq metres are suitably appointed with comfortable furnishings and king size beds along with similar amenities found in all the rooms throughout the hotel.

Grand Room
The Grand Rooms, approximately 17sq metres are suitably appointed with comfortable furnishings and super king size beds along with similar amenities found in all the rooms throughout the hotel as well as complimentary Highland Spring water.

Grand Rooms also contain a trundle bed allowing the rooms to be used for 3 beds or a super king with a single bed. Please let our staff know at the time of booking how you would like your room set up.

Grand Plus Rooms

The Grand Plus Rooms are approximately 18sq metres, offering a lounge area along with tea & coffee making facilities, 32inch flatscreen TV with Freeview, complimentary Highland Spring water.
Grand Plus rooms also have a trundle bed and the lounge sofa also converts to a double bed making a great family room.

Grand Plus Rooms can sleep either up to 3 people with a separate lounge area (3 single beds or a super king with a single bed) or be made up to sleep a family for 5 people.

Directions to The Ranald Hotel in Oban

The Ranald Hotel is located just off the main street in Oban.

When arriving in Oban: Follow the main street, George Street, right through until you reach the traffic lights just before you get to ‘The George Street Fish & Chip Shop’ on your right

Immediately after the traffic lights, turn left and follow the road around, past The Lorne Bar and you will see The Ranald Hotel on your left with a green canopy

Car Parking
Please note that at The Ranald Hotel, there is no designated parking exclusively for the hotel. There is limited on-street paid parking surrounding the hotel which is free between 6 pm and 9 am Monday – Sunday. There are also a number of paying car parks within walking distance of the hotel.

Please be aware that there is no lift in The Ranald Hotel, however staff are always on hand to help with luggage. If you would prefer a room on a lower floor, please let us know at the time of booking and the team at the hotel do their best to accommodate you on the lower levels of the hotel where possible. However please note that we cannot always accommodate these requests.
