Very friendly helpful staff except perhaps some restaurant staff. Thankyou for upgrade but room 210 has a bad damp smell which meant i needed to wash all my clothes even unworn ones Confy beds and nice food. Great value

Waited a long time after main course for a server to offer desert menu- after half an hour we decided not to get another drink each or a desert and it was only when we stood up to go we were asked if we needed anything else. No chip and pin in the restaurant was odd. Rooms and pool facil were excellent.

Stayed here for a relaxing break whilst taking an opportunity to explore Cheshire and the Welsh Borders. This is a lovely venue in a pleasant setting and the bedrooms are well appointed. On the whole staff were very nice and helpful. There was a 'spoiler' related to service but this was addressed directly with the hotel management who reacted positively and responded promptly to issues raised.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and the bedrooms spacious and well appointed. The pool in the spa was long and deep enough for a decent swim. All the food was of the highest quality and nicely presented

This is our 3rd stay at this lovely hotel in well kept surroundings. Staff were as always pleasant and helpful. Evening meal was excellent couldn't fault it at all. The only negative thing about this stay was the slow service at breakfast and the potato scones as they seemed to be heated rather than cooked, never had potato scones served this way before.It certainly won't stop us from returning.

Really friendly staff especially at the reception desk Bedrooms comfortable and clean Food good and again well served Didnt get a chance to play golf but spoke the the Pro in the shop shop who was very friendly

A very pleasant and relaxing break in fabulous surroundings, enhanced by the wonderful weather. Staff very friendly and helpful. The only criticism would be the delays we encountered in the service at the evening meal . . . although the staff were very efficient in taking drinks orders, there was a wait for these to arrive.

Staff very pleasant. Bar service a little slow and they did run out of a few things. Would have been nice to have been able to purchase a few nibbles to have with drinks but these were not available. Championship golf course very nice. Would certainly stay again. Thanks Classic Britain for an excellent deal.

Everything was very good, except that they didn't have our booking when we arrived. Our booking was for Friday, 18 September, and we were booked in for Wednesday, 23 September. Fortunately, we had run off a copy of the confirmation. A couple of false fire alarms didn't give us a good night's sleep, but that was unlucky.
