Hotel was nice. Very good value Concerned though that Mercure have decided that they clean rooms each day as part of their covid safe measures. Rooms could safely be cleaned. Really felt let down when we returned to the hotel at 7pm on Saturday evening and room wasn’t made up. - if we had wanted to stay self catering we would have booked a cottage not a hotel. Disappointing.

Lovely hotel and grounds. Quiet in spite of proximity to motorway - there is a village in between. Friendly and welcoming staff. Good dinner. Breakfast adequate.

Really enjoyed our stay at Boden Hall Hotel, we arrived early so were directed to outside seating area, in brilliant sunshine, from the moment we arrived the staff were all so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble even with a wedding on both days we were there.

“Simply excellent”. On arrival we were met with a lovely smile from Cameron the receptionist. We booked through “Myhotelbreak” with DB&B for a very reasonable £230.00 a couple. A quick phone call to the hotel and our table for dinner was booked for both evenings. The whole hotel was immaculate and the spacious rooms newly refurbished with a bathtub & shower. Wi-Fi in the room was very good also the usual tea/coffee was well topped up. We had pre dinner drinks in the hotel bar and I would like to mention a special thank you to Alberto the bar manager who was extremely nice and knowledgeable. Dinner was absolutely to Michelin standard & Breakfast was equally as nice. All our choices were yummy and there were lots of variety for everyone’s taste. The restaurant was comfortable and spacious witdivided attention from the Manager Rachael and I would like to give praise to some of her staff who I remember were Sammy, Olivia & Francesco. Well done the Bowden Hall, everything wonderful which made the perfect weekend break. Stay here and you won’t be disappointed.

Tastefully refurbished, very comfortable. Bar menu limited - insufficient choice of light bites. Drinks rather expensive - £24 for house wine is excessive. Staff excellent - welcoming and friendly

Really lovely Hotel, the decor is beautiful and the staff are friendly and approachable. There is no lift however and lots of stairs upto the top floor so if this is an issue ask for a lower ground room. The grounds of the hotel are stunning. So happy with our stay

Had a lovely time at the hotel. Staff were very friendly. The food was very good. Breakfast was buffet and cooked to perfection. Lovely and hot and lots to choose from. Rooms were lovely and clean. Lots to do around Gloucester.

We had a great time at the Bowdan Hall , we had a loverly room and very comfy bed and was spotless. Staff also very friendly and helpful. Food was good also with a nice breakfast . All in all a really great stay , would definitely recommend and we will definitely be going back.

Pleasant hotel Good location for visiting surrounding areas and places of interest Front of house staff very friendly and helpful No televisions in communal areas Room 431 was in the attic, I would advise precaution and extra care when getting in/out of bed or sitting up in bed as bed is placed under eaves and we both repeatedly struck our heads on these .........Ouch !

Very friendly staff especially the lady on reception from Lithuania. Nice hotel, not suitable for older people as there are no lifts. Food good.However, the drinks are very very expensive. Breakfast o.k but the food could be hotter.

this hotel break was just what the doctor ordered. It was a lovely Hotel Staff very helpful and friendly (especially receptionist cannot remember her name but lovely girl and also Pablo the restaurant Manager was lovely) they both made us feel very welcome and nothing too much trouble. Room was lovely bed was very comfortable and cleanliness was excellent. The food in the restaurant was first class and enjoyed every mouthful only one thing I would say is that they portions are little on the small side but all in all very good . The deal we had was exceptional value for money and would highly recommend this hotel and deal to all my friends and we will be returning in the not to distant future. The grounds the Hotel is in looks beautiful and hopefully will return in the summer as the gardens look lovely. Thank you for a lovely and pleasant stay.
