Fabulous time at Kenwood Hall Hotel. This is a hidden gem away from the city centre. The staff are honestly the friendliest we have ever seen in a hotel. They all smile and engage with you and nothing is too much trouble. They work hard to keep the hotel clean and welcoming. There is a small pool with sauna and steam area which adds to the relaxation of a trip away. We had booked through MyHotelBreak and part of the deal was a room upgrade. We were extremely lucky to get a Junior King Suite which was absolutely fabulous! It had a patio with table and chairs and sun loungers overlooking the lake - although in November these were not used but in summer would be amazing This was our second visit to this hotel and we've already booked another trip next spring.

Great hotel, amazing value for money deal. Spa facilities was nice. All staff where super friendly and helpful. Lisa on reception, waitresses, serving on the bar (and anything else she was needed to assist with) was amazing. Chloe in the restaurant was super helpful and very friendly. Room was amazing The hotel was clean and tidy with amazing grounds and the view from the outside terrace over the lake was lovely. Would highly recommend

Great stay with a garden view room. The room was a bit tired but a good size with what we needed, although there was a lack of drawer space. Breakfasts were good and the evening meals were also good.

A very enjoyable first visit to this hotel,a great base for visiting the Peak District. Reception /check in was speedy and informative,room although downstairs and with a foot path directly out side our large windows was clean,large, and with a comfortable bed.Dressing gowns,slippers and complementary soft drinks in the fridge were a nice touch.The restaurant food was enjoyable on both nights and despite a mix up with one of our meals it was soon put right.The breakfast was plentiful and the staff pleasant and efficient.Would we return ? YES.

What a fab stay we had! Without exception the staff were FABULOUS...so friendly and welcoming...nothing too much trouble.. I'm so sorry that I didn't get any names apart from Lisa and Charler on reception and Cheryl who serviced the room. The bar and restaurant staff also deserve a big thumbs up!!!!

A fantastic nights stay at a great venue, lovely accommodation and even better staff. From the second we arrived Lisa & Nicky on the reception made us feel very welcome, and we even got an upgrade on our room. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal in the restaurant, also with excellent service and then had fabulous nights sleep in a perfect, peaceful room. Breakfast was spot on and the late check out was a bonus. We shall definitely stay again and look forward to seeing all the friendly staff again.

Hotel staff polite and helpful spa clean and very nice. rooms also clean and tidy no complaints but our meal on our first night very disappointing that we had to wait 2hours for our sweet which we left because it was cold people were getting up and leaving not the serving staff fault they were great .we did not let it ruin our stay.

I am not happy with one respect that so far the hotel has made a complete mess of the charge for the break ie they have put through £122 more to my bank than the deal price despite my complaints to the receptionists !!!!!

Was a bit worried after reading some reviews but no need.best hotel grounds we have had.great for the dog.room was huge.restaurant very good as were the staff.yes there was a bit of chipped paint here and there but nothing to detract ftom our stay.

Everything was fantastic except there was no draught beer.the waiter who served us with the meal was very pleasant and couldn't do enough,his name was Bianco excellent service we will be back.aldo the new manager was very pleasant.

Had a really lovely stay here.The staff were really friendly, nothing too much trouble for them.Brought our evening mesl outside to us as it was a lovely evening .The breakfast was great with a great choice and again great service .pool and spa also good .The hotel is set in beautiful grounds with plenty of seating .

Great hotel, lovely spacious rooms, reception staff very helpful. Disappointed with dinner and the restaurant manager's attitude. Had to wait an hour for our food and when it arrived, one meal was wrong and the other burnt. The dinner spoilt what would have been a fantastic stay??

The hotel was great with beautiful grounds room was lovely with very comfy bed diner and breakfast were excellent food was a plenty at breakfast only thing I would say is some of the staff need more training put I would definitely recommend this hotel

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel itself is lovely and clean, so was our room. The room itself is quite outdated decor wise, but it was comfy and clean which is most important. Could have more choice for the dinner menu, breakfast service was slow.

Had a lovely one night stay with family. Two rooms which were the executive doubles and were very spacious with a lovely coffee machine and fridge with water and cola included which was a lovely touch.Beautiful evening meal enjoyed by all, and I heard a lovely breakfast which I didn’t get too!!! Would definitely stay again ( as we have in the past). No pool at the moment but reopening soon. A lovely small lake with fishermen, and a duck with her ducklings with seating to enjoy the view.

Despite negative reviews we booked a one night Dinner,Bed and Breakfast package for £99 for two people including a bottle of wine. Our first impressions we’re favourable, reception staff made us welcome and upgraded us to a better room ( thank you) which was clean and spacious. Dinner was excellent along with the staff. A walk in the grounds was nice.We could see that there was refurbishment going on and Ian sure when finished it will make it a even better place. Breakfast was good and was the service. Checkout was also good. 5/5 overall.

Great food. Lovely members of staff. Down side which isn't anyone's fault, the main radiator wouldn't turn off/can't turn off so it was red hot. Used the fan to keep cool. Would stay again.

Lovely hotel, excellent customer service and fab spa treatments. Only one let down, spa is tired and outdated and desperately needs a refurb, rest of hotel has been done. Room spacious if a little old but great value for mobey!

Hotel is nice with good rooms and food and would be recommended on that basis. Our only issue was with the hotel charging us again to stay there despite us showing proof that we had already paid through this website. We have since been in touch with the customer services team on here who are sorting out a refund but it was still really disappointing to be charged twice for a stay.

It was quite pleasant. It’s in a nice setting with its own lake, and got its own park, a nice building, I like it.
