Hotel staff very nice but it's a dated hotel and the room was cold as the window couldn't be closed. A roaring fire in Reception was promised but that wasn't to be.

Our stay at the Old Swan Hotel was excellent, the reception staff very helpful answered all our questions as was the staff in the dining room, the breakfast had plenty of choice everything you could possible want, we also used the restaurant in the evening which was to the same high standard. this was our second visit to the Old Swan but will not be our last.

We had a very enjoyable 2 nights at The Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the hotel is charming and full of character and history. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The weather was awful, last year, when we first stayed at the Old Swan in Harrogate, but that only served to provide us with an excuse to spend more quiet time with our books in what we considered something of a discovery: the hotel's Library Lounge. This year saw our second, and, by now, much-looked-forward-to, visit, and it was a delight to find the hotel's charms were as we remembered, especially with regard to our old friend, the Library Lounge. Oh, and by the way, the weather was delightful, just as we hope it will be next time.

Stayed at this Hotel before its outstanding.The Staff were amazing.My husband has disabilities so I requested room near the lift and extra room for my Grand daughter.Nothing was a problem and everything I requested was done.Food brilliant .Wil be back Jan

This was my second stay at The Old Swan Hotel and will be my last, whilst the location and food are very good there is no communication between staff. I had rung the day prior to confirm the booking, arrange a table and time for our evening meal and confirm we had the DBB and glass of fizz cream tea deal all confirmed. We arrived at 2.45 but were told we were to early to check in fair enough we were 15 minutes early. No record of my table booking for the evening and on checkout staff tried to charge us by £70 for our evening meal which was included in the deal. Disappointing!!!

What a fabulous hotel this is!! We had a marvellous stay and it was the best value for money ever!! Great hotel with a lovely ambience. All the staff are amazing! Well trained, friendly and professional. After this bargain DBB taster for my birthday, we would DEFINITELY return. Thank you everyone

Excellent service from friendly staff, really good food, we enjoyed the three course dinner on the first night and breakfast each morning was also very good, with plenty of choice. Location is good, with bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The room we had was spacious and comfortable. The en-suite bathroom was also spacious, but would benefit from a walk in shower, rather than the over the bath shower, which was difficult for my wife to use, being disabled. Overall, it’s a great hotel, we enjoyed an excellent mini break and would definitely stay here again.

Had an enjoyable 3 days stay. Cleaner of our room 158 was excellent. Meals were okay but food could have been hotter when served. Pasta was more like rich tomato sauce was not enough pasta and went to eat outside of hotel. Did not appreciate being automatically service charge on bill would preferred to tip myself also being charged service for every transaction at bar so decided to use bars outside of hotel.

The hotel was characterful and clean. Staff were very pleasant and breakfasts providing good choice. However the evening meal although good quality was repetitive throughout the stay and would be improved with having daily specials.

Lovely old hotel ...loved the details inside..our room was nice ...not a great view ...looking onto other roof ...the window was painted shut and could not be opened .but a fan was in the wardrobe. Food was okay .plates could have been warm ...at breakfast time ...as resulting in food getting cold quick .. room 333

Just back from our stay. Fabulous hotel, room good size, clean and tidy. Breakfast and dinner excellent with a fab choice. Hotel sits in fabulous gardens with plenty of outdoor sitting areas. Topped it off with great weather. Will definitely be back.

Lovely old hotel in great location in centre of Harrogate. My wife and I stayed on 2night DBB deal and offer included a “Cream Tea”. Food was acceptable although the menu for dinner was same each night. Breakfast was buffet style and was ideal to set you up for the day. Extremely disappointed with some of supplements on dinner menu with an “incredible £9.50 supplement” for Cheese Board!! Also the “Cream Tea” consisted of a small underbaked scone and a tiny hard tasteless piece of cake(which we left). Overall the break was enjoyable but will probably look elsewhere on any subsequent visit to the area.

Had a 2 night break with friends. Hotel very nice and clean. Room comfortable. Food was lovely and staff very nice. Thought carpark was a bit expensive and could have been subsidised. Would stay again.

The only thing I can say that was negative was the breakfast as I am married to a vegetarian, there was not much in the way for her to choose from But everything else was lovely and will be back sometime soon.
