Lovely hotel, staff were very helpful and made our stay lovely. Breakfast was really good. Will definitely book again. Short walk to the town centre.

Dinner in Wedgewood was good - tasty curry and steak cooked to order. Omelette in lounge was poor- barely warm and the “chips” very strange and too cold. We had a problem with our bill - asked to pay for dinner that was included in our package. Service and gratuity charges very odd - no charge on drinks or food in lounge but £20 on £39 spend on wine and steak which we didn’t pay. There seemed to be an issue between the restaurant and reception and it took more than an hour to sort it out. Room nice and clean and well serviced. All staff very pleasant but those who are less experienced would benefit from better support.

Beautiful hotel with loads of original features. Room was large, spacious and SPOTLESS. Bathroom immaculate and bright, with lovely white fluffy towels. Cream tea with fizz, evening meal and breakfast were delicious. Service great nothing was to much trouble. Would definitely recommend this beautiful hotel.

Stayed for one night on the DBB,glass of presseco and cream tea deal for 2 it was lovely.The staff are so polite and friendly.Think the rooms have been refurbed since the last time we stayed. Had a very pleasant stay and will be returning to lovely Harrogate.

Checked in and confirmed package. We did not get the cream tea or fizz as no information given by receptionist. Room was executive double but it was just a big basic room, far from executive. Bathroom door was locked and we had to call to have it unlocked. TV did not work and no bathrobes or slippers. Room was way too hot and unbearable to sleep in. Dinner was basic, bland and tasteless. Did mention this at dinner but staff didn’t seem to care. £9.00 for glass of wine that tasted like vinegar, did not drink it but still charged. On check out we were given the bill for the room and dinner, which we had already paid when we checked in. Items on the bill were incorrect and, we were not the only ones questioning bills. Extremely disappointing stay and would not stay again.

Harrogate is a nice place but would pick another Hotel next time. My wife was cold through the night,my bed was too hard and was charged for service my meal! Not impressed but didn't complain

All in all we enjoyed our stay at the Old Swan. Our room was clean, tidy, comfortable and spacious. However it was very hot and we had difficulty sleeping. We heard a number of other guests saying the same when at breakfast. The food portions at dinner were ample in size and quality produce used. At breakfast there was a good choice of food and again, it was of good quality. There seemed to be a little confusion when we checked in as to what was included in our package but this was sorted out quickly. Generally, all members of staff that we came in contact with were pleasant and courteous.

Very enjoyable visit. Staff were very friendly and attended to all our needs. Jean Baptiste in the restaurant was particularly attentive and efficient especially when dealing with my allergies. The room was spotless. Did have a problem with TV remote but this was a minor issue.Booked to stay again for New Year.

The room we had was lovely and clean with a really nice bathroom. The gentleman on reception, sorry cant remember your name, was really pleasant and very helpful. All staff were excellent. Food was really nice. Loved the dining room had a fabulous ceiling and decor. Will definitely visit again. Car park was £10 for 24 hours but we knew beforehand so no surprise.

Very clean comfortable room. Adequate size for classic room. Well equipped. Good hospitality tray, replenished everyday. Lovely dining room. Food, excellent cold table at breakfast. Good choice of hot items but could be warmer. Good choice at dinner. Food well presented. Friendly staff.

The location was good, nice old building, we had dinner bed & breakfast, the supplement for steak was £9.50 which I thought was expensive, we chose to pay for the extra in the restaurant was initially charged for the whole meal then the hotel tried to charge us again when we checked out, had to show our receipt to prove we’d already paid, no apology. The staff couldn’t have less interested if they’d tried, the one staff member who was happy was Srinivasa on reception, breakfast was like warm and not good quality.

No fizz on arrival as stated in booking I was informed no evening meal or brvice after 5pm due to staff shortages ( which was ok) however we arrived to find out there was a team away day on with all the staff attending, so that would be why there was no evening meal! Wasn’t aware there was a £10 parking charge when booked Breakfast was lovely Room clean and Tidy

Really nice periodic Hotel, breakfast was lovely. Unfortunately evening meals and brvice was cancelled due to Covid. Room was lovely, but bathroom was very dated and could do with a refurb. Staff were lovely and helpful.

Very helpful staff and great service in restaurant we upgraded to superior rooms but I must admit these rooms are rather tired and bathroom had lots of rust on radiators so in need of some updating

We had a wonderful stay, staff were polite hotel was clean in communal areas, our room was on the smaller side and there were what looked like make up or blood stains on the curtains/ nets in our room and no servicing of rooms during our stay but all in all we had a good time. I was slightly disappointed that even tho we had mentioned on booking that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and when I spoke to reception via telephone to book time for evening Meal he said he had a note of it, we were still asked if we wanted twin beds?? and nothing was mentioned on arrival we were not wished happy anniversary, offered a complimentary drink or anything, just felt different to other places we have stayed for our Anniversary
