I do a lot of research before booking any establishment. Malmaison as presented on social media, as exactly what you get. The pictures of the rooms are identical and not misleading. Room 403 and 404 where the family stayed, have doors that open onto a small balcony. The reception staff is excellent and efficient. I forgot an adaptor for charging phones and laptops and they made a real effort to help me. It is close to all the attractions and the family walked everywhere. Highly recommended

My first visit to mal oxford and it did not disappoint. Excellent location, engaging friendly staff and a wonderful room the weekend couldn’t have been better I will definitely come again. Thanks Emma for being so accommodating looking after our bag so we could explore the city after we checked out

This hotel is convenient to both the train and bus stations, as well as the sights. Breakfast was good and plentiful. A hotel in a Victorian prison is novel- if you avoid thinking about what probably happened there. We stayed in the annex on the other side of the exercise yard, which is a bit quieter. The hotel is VERY bustling.

A brilliant find, it’s like you’ve stepped into a private tourist attraction. It’s an old prison, and have been beautifully renovated into a hotel. The rooms were lovely and the bed was really comfortable. Perfect location to all the sites in oxford.
