The staff in the Spa were extremely helpful with getting access to the pool as my husband has mobility problems.Hotel is in a beautiful situation and we found it very relaxing - will definitely be back

We had a lovely time at Cardrona. Loved the view from our comfortable room. The bathroom was very nice with lovely toiletries and bathrobes. The food was really good served by very efficient staff who coped very well with the arrival of bus loads of tourists for breakfast. Great to have the nespresso machine. Just like home. Would like to see an ice machine in the hallway.

Top class hotel stay, attentive pleasant staff, excellent food presented very well. Clean comfortable room with excellent facil and extra attention to detail. Would certainly return and recommend it highly to family and friends.

We had booked this hotel for my Mother's 80th birthday. The staff were wonderful, the food was amazing and the hotel is great. We all had a fantastic time. it's our second stay there and would highly recommend the hotel to anyone.

Good accommodation and food. Staff efficient, polite and friendly. Although requested at time of booking, no reservation had been made for dinner. Not a problem this time but would have been a problem if the dining room had been as busy as the last time we visited..

Enjoyed our stay. I asked about booking through my hotel break best available room and were told any upgrades were suect to supplements. When I asked about check out times we were advised 11am only when this was queried as we thought it was 12 noon check out that someone checked and advised us it was 12. This would have helped at check in if we were advised of this. Food was fantastic and we would definitely return to cardronna.

We found the hotel staff friendly, especially in the restaurant. Dinner on the first night the main course was WARM and served on a cold plate. The following night everything was hot. Both nights dinner was very good. What was disappointing was the extortionate charges for extras and steaks etc. The wine and drinks were I felt over the top in price. This might explain why the bar area was deserted. Unable to use the safe in the room as it was locked and the wardrobe sliding door was off its runner when we arrived. Surely these should have been noted by the room staff before the room was occupied.

The Cardrona Hotel is one of my favourites!The food is first class, the staff are always polite and helpful and the views from the bedroom are wonderful - so relaxing. My friend and I payed extra for an executive room - so worth it. As I have MS, I'm very aware of accessibility in hotels - some are better than others! The hotel had put a shower chair in for me and there was a form to be filled in at reception on check-in about help during an emergency. This was impressive and reassuring. As someone who likes travelling and staying at good hotels, I would have no reservation about recommending the Cardrona. Here's to the next visit! Margaret Borland

We where very disappointed in the hotel very little information at reception desk. The tribute night Rod Stuart and Tina Turna where the worst that we had ever heard, the DJ absolutely the worst. there was not any chose of meals It was tomato soup far too hot had to leave to cool, chicken ok pafitaroll I,m not a lover of them. also the plates far too hot almost burnt my hand, the water did not even warn us about hot plates. no we will not be back!!

We had a good night and good food. The show was not very good. We did not enjoy either rod or tina they were very poor and not up to scratch. It has put us off booking another tribute night. To us it was poor value for the money as we did not enjoy the entertainment and did not stay till the end. Mrs Claire stewart

We enjoyed a relaxing break. Staf helpful and attentive and a lovely view of horses and the hills in room 323. Food good and cream tea on arrival a bonus. We used leisure which was adequate but no jacuzzi!!

Very nice hotel, the food was good and the staff were helpful. The only downside was that when I made my booking I asked for a table to be booked for dinner at 8pm. When we arrived at the hotel they hadn't booked the table so didn't get one until 9pm!. We also had to wait 45 mins for tea, coffee and toast at breakfast time! We had our cooked breakfast before the Tea, coffee and toast arrived.

The food was amazing - Real al a carte 5* quality. And fantastic value for money. My partner enjoyed the golf course, we enjoyed the wine and a lie in! And we would be back. 10 out of 10 for everything!

Have stayed at Cadrona a few times over the years and always find the staff very helpful and friendly. The food at Cadrona is streets ahead of any otherMcDonald hotel I have stayed in. The only down side is the cost of drinks - extortionate, which is a pity because the lounge area is nice and if drink was a bit more realistically priced our group would have spent a bit longer there.

Very disappointed in stay Have stayed many times but this visit was very poor. Had requested golf course view but view was of grass view on bottom floor below reception. Service shocking, breakfast below standard tea and coffee served 10 mins after breakfast eaten. Queues to get onto restaurant took 10-15 mins. Note through door saying v busy have breakfast before 9am alternatively room service at £5 supplement. In my opinion over booked understaffed. I will think twice about going back very, very disappointed.

We had a great 3 night stay at Cardrona. Spacious clean room with golf view, lovely food and helpful and friendly staff. Breakfasts were freshly cooked with good selection of fruit and cereal. Dinners were well presented and food really good. The menu remained the same though during our stay. Some supplements were a bit excessive - £5 extra for a starter of 3 scallops. Staff are all so nice and very helpful. Receptionist was excellent when we booked in. Restaurant staff very efficient and friendly and smartly dressed. Spa is good with clean changing rooms and good sized pool. Sauna and steam room lovely and clean. We have been 3 times to this Hotel this year and will be back again. We received a really good offer from Classic Britain which were, as always, excellent!

This is a lovely hotel. Although a big hotel it manages to retain a warm and friendly atmosphere with lots of very comfortable seating areas in and around the bar and dining area. We were upgraded to an Executive room and this was superb for space and comfort. Bed extremely comfortable. All staff without exception were welcoming, friendly and very attentive. Thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone.

From the moment we arrived the staff were very welcoming.The standard of room was very good. If I had one complaint it was that there were two many add ons on the menu for dinner and that the menu did not change . Similarly ,if you were late in for breakfast the choice on the buffet starter part was very limited.
