Stayed 6th January 2016

Spent two nights in this beautiful hotel with friends from Hogmanay till 2nd January and what a fantastic time was had by all. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who escorted us to the ball room to advise us where our table would be for the Hogmanay Ball, allowing us to know exactly where to go following a champagne reception. And what a fabulous ball it was. The decor in the ballroom was beautiful with great care given to detail. The five course menu was a foodies' delight. Every course superb, served by super friendly staff and piping hot, beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Afterwards we had ceilidh just before midnight, a piper and glass of champagne at the "bells" then disco till 2am. This was followed by tea and sandwiches which we had to force ourselves to eat! The leisure facil were also excellent. Large pool, sauna steam room and jacuzzi. On the second evening a meal in the restaurant was included in the package and again was delicious. The rooms are beautiful and maintained and cleaned to a high standard. And all these facil were complimented by wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. Too many to mention but Paul the maitre di led an exceptional team and they all worked tirelessly maintains a friendly and happy manner. Jennifer on reception also went out of her way to help make our stay so good. A slight problem with one of our rooms was quickly dealt with and greatly appreciated by our friends. We had a wonderful start to 2016 and hope to repeat it next year.

Stayed 5th January 2016

My husband and I stayed here on 2nd to 3rd January 2016. It was a belated 10th anniversary visit and we were delighted to have been upgraded to the Ratho suite. Our suite was immaculate, spacious and I particularly enjoyed the TV at the foot of the bath and the walk in shower and wet room were fabulous. The reception and housekeeping staff were all very friendly and helpful. Fresh milk was available in our room and when this ran out it was no problem for reception staff to send up more along with more tea. There was a problem with our room however this was treated with swiftly and professionally. The pool and spa areas were excellent and I had a fantastic massage treatment at the spa. We had dinner and breakfast - both meals were delicious and yet again staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. This is our second stay here at Norton and we would thoroughly recommend it for a relaxing break.

Good place to get away from it all after Christmas festiv. Set in lovely grounds with a woodland walk and a spa. The hotel is an older building but room we were in was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Big tv on wall and small fridge to store the goodies. The spa is modern and just a short 50 - 100 metre walk from the hotel. Full range of treatments on offer as well as the usual swimming pool, sauna and steam room. We ate in the hotel the first night and it cost about £90 for 3 courses with a drink. Decided to go into city next night which involved either a £30 taxi fare or a short walk, bus then tram. Last tram back was about 11 pm. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful.
