Very friendly welcoming staff, bedroom very large, comfortable and very clean. Good to have a sitting area with sofa. Decor a little dated and dark.

Lovely hotel, immaculately clean inside and out. The gardeners were beautiful. The hotel staff were so helpful and pleasant. Although the menu was quite limited it was fabulously cooked and presented.

This was a very pleasant stay and good value for money. Hotel was clean and maintained to a high standard. Food was excellent although we did try another venue on the second but this was a big mistake, the food did not compare with the hotels. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Lovely room although the bathroom could do with upgrading. Very friendly and professional staff. The hotel had a nice laid back atmosphere and the food was excellent.

Room was huge & very clean Food was good both nights & breakfast was buffet one morning & table service second morning staff were very efficient and food arrived hot and in timely fashion There was a wedding function first night but did not affect our dining service No complaints would definitely recommend this hotel (only a 10min walk to Gretna outlet)

Lovely hotel, where we had a spacious ground floor room. Enjoyed the choice of either bath or walk in shower within room. Greeted warmly on arrival, excellent breakfast and evening dining also good. Catering and Bar staf made our break most enjoyable.

Wow just wow. What a fabulous charming hotel, we had a great relaxing weekend. Rooms are lovely, great size and clean. All staff members were really pleasant, especially the young waitress at breakfast. Evening meal, what a great menu and the Curry was exceptional. I recently took my wife to Lumley Castle, she has said she would return here again before returning to Lumley Castle. Happy wife, happy life. Thank you we will see you again soon.

We stopped over on our way north for a few days break. The hotel is very conveniently located about 2 minutes off the M6 just before the border and 5 minutes to get back on to the way north. The hotel is nicely decorated in a classic style and set in well maintained gardens. Staff were all friendly & helpful. We ate in the bar which was pleasant and the food freshly prepared and tasty. We took a walk across the Sark Bridge to the Gretna Outlet shops in about 20 minutes. Will definitely return here

Excellent location. Our room was excellent spotlessly clean, bed was really comfortable. Staff really friendly and helpful. The garden was so peaceful it did help that the sun was shining. Thoroughly recommend this Hotel. Great food at an affordable price.

Another stay at this hotel stayed here dozens of times over the years met the new owners and made very welcome, food what can I say is its wonderful, warm, clean great food great hosts will continue to stay here every time i travel up or down.

We have been coming to stay at this hotel for years to celebrate our anniversary. This year we arrived on a Sunday to find they were having a curry night. Having not eaten much Indian food, we were pleasantly surprised after Preet recommended the best meal for our taste. We were well looked after and would recommend a stay at the hotel.
