We booked late however on arrival the receptionist was lovely although they were having technical problems she could not have dealt with any better, extremely well mannered with a lovely smile. The room was immaculate and very spacious with beautiful views. We could only get 9pm for our meal and staff did look a bit under the cosh as extremely busy but the food was fabulous. Leisure facilities nice and all in all would definately recommend and return. In fact a couple of people at work are looking to book shortly with me raving on about the fantastic value for money.

AN EXCELLENT TWO NIGHT STAY. THE HOTEL WAS VERY BUSY ON THE SUNDAY NIGHT LEADING TO A SLIGHT DELAY BETWEEN COURSES. VERY GOOD VALUE.

great holiday but dissapointed in disabled room having a bath and no shower.it had all the handrails etc but my 87yo mum had to shower in my room which was problematic

Stay at the hotel was very satisfactory after an embarrassing start at reception. When we attempted to book in our reservation could not be found on the hotel list. I do not know if this was a mistake on the part of Classic Britain or the Cardrona Hotel.Although it was a poor start the hotel did give us an upgrade because of the trouble.

Hotel fittings are tired especially the dining room chairs and the lockers in the Mens changing room at the swimming pool. Disappointed by the lack of variety on the dinner menu on the second night, although the food was very good.

Hotel is beautiful and in a beautiful location. Lovely walks nearby and very peaceful. The bedrooms are very clean and spacious. Food on first night was poor. The food was served cold and the service was atrocious. Waiting staff were standing around while tables needed cleared. No apology for having to wait on our food. The dining room is very unorganised. Breakfast was lovely and dinner in the second night was much better. Prices for wine and other refreshments are ridiculous. The bars are empty because the prices are so high. Totally ruined the stay at the hotel being charged so much for drinks and for this reason I would not return.

The room was so noise. We were next to a door that swung open and closed all day and night. I was disappointed in the cleanliness and service of the hotel.

Bar area is relatively small compared to other similar sized hotels. Comfort would be improved in this area with more regular clearing of dirty glasses/ food from tables/ floor. Spikes Bar was particularly scruffy and on both occasions we tried it, there was no bar staff. Food was superb as was service within the restaurant. Overall, deal provided good value and would return on same basis.

Stayed before at this hotel and room, service, staff and food were all excellent. Had a facial at Spa and Claire was great at her job and was friendly too. Would definitely return to hotel and will use Spa again.

On arriving we were asked to pay the full balance of our stay because we had booked through a third party. Our room room number 318 had a lovely view over the golf corse but was dated in style and house keeping was not good. There was crumbs on the furniture and the two drinking glasses in the sitting area were dirty and chipped. There was mildew around the shower sealant and a bad odour from the toilet seat! The dust was that thick around the tv and light bulbs that I did write a message in it. Restaurant area was lovely and so was the food but not being able to open a bar tab on a debit card was an inconvenience . Again at breakfast house keeping was a problem as drinking glasses by the cold buffet area were un clean. We stay two nights and the breakfast quantity on both mornings differed. The pool area was nice as was the young man on duty in this area. On check out if the gentleman who took our room key had spoken to me I would have mentioned the above problems. Over all the hotel is in a beautiful location but felt staff especially on check in treated us different because we had booked via yourself and were not paying the hotels rate for the stay. Would not want to pay full price at this hotel until until areas had been refurbished.

Very happy with overnight stay, great deal!! Very pleased with spa visit, enjoyed my treatments. At dinner felt choice was a bit limited and I did not enjoy my main course, just personsol taste, as my partners food was very nice. Breakfast great choice and delicious. Rooms lovely, apart from loose tile around bath. Would stay again for the spa! Staff friendly and polite.
