Very polite and professional staff . Lovely hotel with great amenities and walks surrounding the hotel . Main course for dinner a bit to small in portion for my liking but overall very nice.Enjoyed my stay it was lovely .

They garantee a 3pm check in 45mins later we finally got our room the steam room could do with a good clean the tiles were needing a good scrub the pool area could do with a refurb to bring it up to 4 star standards. The food was amazing compliments to the chefs

From start to finish a lovely stay. All staff friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and with a brilliant view of golf course, cycle track and sloping fields with horses. The pool area was well maintained and dinner a delight. We couldn't have expected more and with the great deal from Classic Britain a bargain at the price.

No Dining Room Bookings till after 9 pm on both nights which completely spoiled our holiday. The alternative bar snacks were in no way compensation for missing dinner. Incorrect billing which was eventually corrected.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only disappointment was unable to get appt in Spa-should have booked prior to going. Also as hotel very busy we were only able to book later times for evening meal.

Bedrooms were lovely setting very nice. There were a few problem checking in and with spa treatments due to computer issues. food not great if you are vegetarian although the waite r asked chef for an alternatives staff arguing infront of guests not great. staff forgetting about guests a lot too.

We really enjoyed our stay.We had read some reviews beforehand and these seemed to have been adressed by management and staff.We certainly thought the offer we got was good value and we will return in the near future and would recomend the hotel and golf to my clientel and friends.

We had a delightful stay though only had 1 night. Really enjoyed our upgrade room (executive). Lovely outlook towards golf course and hills. Very comfortable. Had a nice fairly short circular walk along bank of R Tweed via Cardrona Station cafe. There were other more ambitious walks. Bikes were on offer if wished. And golf of course, though not of interest to us. Lots to do and see in the area including facilities at Glen Tress and a variety of Tweed Valley trails for foot or bike. I had an enjoyable facial in the Elemis spa. We did not use the pool or other leisure facilities. The food was excellent. Fine dining. It was good to be served cooked breakfast at table not from a hot buffet. The hotel has easy level access from car park to main entrance, reception, bar, dining room and lifts. It was very busy because of school holidays. This contributed to the pleasant atmosphere. However as a result the service was a bit slower than might have been. All staff we met were friendly and very helpful. We should be very happy to stay there again.

Our stay was very pleasant at Cardrona. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. Adding in the leisure facilities this hotel can only be commended and recommended.

The hotel was too busy and could not accomodate all guests. Lounge/Bar area was used to add extra dining tables for restuarant which left little room in lounge to sit and have a drink. Sitting at reception and front door not comfortable and left no option but to go back to room. Unfortunately due to this I would not book this hotel again. However I would say that staff were very attentive and food was very nice.

We had a very lovely stay at the Macdonald Cardrona on a DBB deal. The room was very and the dinner and breakfast both delicious! Drinks were a little pricey but other than that everything was perfect for what we were looking for in a relaxing night away.

We were pleasantly surprised with the quality and facilities of the hotel. A marked improvement on our stay some 3 years ago. The break was extremely good value and the food deserving of its Rosette award. Will go again soon!

Love this hotel, the location, service and food excellent. Rooms very comfortable and fresh, the leisure facilities brilliant at no extra cost. Drink prices a bot OTT though. returning soon for a three night dbb stay, can't wait.
