The Service and the food in the dining room for dinner was dreadful. Food slightly better at breakfast but service again really really slow, worst I have experienced for some time.

Good leisure facilities and spa. Some areas needing a little TLC-showing wear. Lots to do in and out of hotel which is not well published on website. Peaceful and relaxing. Hope to go back.

excellent location and high quality hotel with good leisure facilities. Only downside was the reception on our mobile phones was very poor both in the hotel and Peebles area.

The service in the restaurant was shocking. There were 4 of us and 2 had had meals and 2 still waiting and them the staff come and ask us what we had ordered again. Other than that the hotel is amazing and when we got the food it was lovely. The golf was fantastic and great price

Head waiter rather too good at ignoring guests waiting to be seated both at dinner and breakfast. All waiting staff excellent.

We stayed on a friday night. The hotel is quite nice but is starting to appear tired. The bedrooms were nice and clean and the room we had had a separate shower and bath which is always nice. We had a super view over the golf course looking towards the hills. We stayed on a DBB rate and to be honest it is the restuarant that lets the place down. My husband thought that the portions were rather small - usually more sides are included with your main course but luckily we had asked and ordered some veg and chips which we then had to pay extra. My husbands second glass of wine which he ordered didn't arrive. The window sills in both the restuarant and bar although almost at floor level could have benefited from a wipe to get rid of all the dead beasties - we noticed this on both the friday and saturday morning. In the morning, pretty much all of the glasses sitting out for fruit juice had the reminants of orange juice stuck to them - not pleasant! Having said that - the breakfast was nice and we recieved good sized pots of tea and coffee - although the outside of the pots too could have benefited from a wash.

Hotel lovely, rooms excellent, staff excellent, food was prob the best I've had in a hotel. Add the beautiful countryside and hills and we cant wait to go back.

Hotel was exceptional value for money.The only downside was the time we had our dinner 8.45pm this was the only time hotel could give us.

standard of hygiene in dining room could be improved on as I had a soiled piece of cutlery on two occasions along with dirty butter dish which had remnants of what had previously been in said dish. Inclined to put you of slightly!! Having to pay extra for basics like potatoes and chips also left a bitter taste. menu never varied in the three nights we were there.

enjoyable stay used spa gym pool also two rounds of golf need free wifi through out hotel also inflated price of alchol will loose hotel sales

We enjoyed our stay in the Cardrona, and it is worthy of it's 4 stars, we had a lovely room overlooking the golf course, the only thing that was not up to par was the service in the dining room, it was very hit and miss I am sorry to say.

Enjoyed our stay. Surprised that the menu was the same each day. Thought the spa offer was 50% 0ff all treatments and I was only offered it off one of my two selections, so I cancelled the other choice I had made. The staff at the spa desk were not knowledgeable about the percentage of the offer and I had to go back three times before they it was sorted out.

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel. The staff were excellent and I can see why they have won a customer service award in the past. I am a fussy eater but I found the food choice more than sufficient. My only small critism would be that they should tell you that you need

We enjoyed our 2 nights at the Cardrona Hotel and visits to local attractions however I was disappointed that given the fine dining and service in the restaurant there was no dress code. There were men dressed in beach type shorts and tee shirts.

Very nice hotel & very clean & comfortable. No complaints other than that their bar charging system could be more accurate.
