Had a lovely couple of days at hotel. Everything was of a high standard. The only thing that I feel could be improved is the breakfast serving tables area. They were quite small for the guests using them. Glasses and food were sometimes in short supply and it took a wee while to replenish them. I can only suggest that a staff member be on hand at the table to check that there is adequate supplies at all times.

the receptionist was lovely the housekeeper was lovely but not impressed with the length of time waiting between course's for our meal and the dinning staff wasn't very nice still waiting for my toast. The hotel was lovely but the dinning staff let it down big style

Money is clearly the 'God' of this hotel chain. Everything, especially the meals are clearly down to 'price.' They even charge for using a credit card. Please note, I am certainly not the only one to be saddened by their policy. It is not easy to have a 3 course evening meal without an 'extra'! Even the breakfast is a '6 item cooked breakfast. No they wont admit to this, but unofficially, it IS! I would be willing to interview the managing director, as I feel saddened that such a Scottish hotel chain, should be like this.

Excellent deal price. Hotel clean and very smart. Food excellent. Be aware that you have to book your dinner time quickly as we sat down at 2045hrs which is a tad late for such rich food.

Having stayed recently at Cardrona, I was interested in comparing that stay with my more recent visit. On this occasion, the hotel, was much busier...and it showed. Staff seemed more harassed and not as welcoming. The smiles from last time, were largely gone. Waiting times were longer, but not excessive. The fabric of the building was beginning to show wear and tear. (A considerable portion was clad in scaffolding). A lock on a toilet door did not work properly nor did it flush. A window in the room did not close. I remembered the dinner, being excellent last time, but would only say that it was acceptable on this occasion. Check-in and Out were efficiently handled.

We've stayed here several times and it's brilliant value for value.Bedrooms are excellent although if you're not on the golf view side it can be a little bit noisy from the traffic especially if you've got the window open, but that's not the hotel's fault.Service is good and the food is superb.Leisure facilities are very good and the golf course is challenging with beautiful scenery and numerous bunkers!

The hotel was lovely and the rooms were of a good size. The bathroom was big and we had a lovely view of the golf course. Food excellent but service was a bit lax halfway through the meal.

Good leisure facilities and spa. Some areas needing a little TLC-showing wear. Lots to do in and out of hotel which is not well published on website. Peaceful and relaxing. Hope to go back.

The service in the restaurant was shocking. There were 4 of us and 2 had had meals and 2 still waiting and them the staff come and ask us what we had ordered again. Other than that the hotel is amazing and when we got the food it was lovely. The golf was fantastic and great price

We stayed on a friday night. The hotel is quite nice but is starting to appear tired. The bedrooms were nice and clean and the room we had had a separate shower and bath which is always nice. We had a super view over the golf course looking towards the hills. We stayed on a DBB rate and to be honest it is the restuarant that lets the place down. My husband thought that the portions were rather small - usually more sides are included with your main course but luckily we had asked and ordered some veg and chips which we then had to pay extra. My husbands second glass of wine which he ordered didn't arrive. The window sills in both the restuarant and bar although almost at floor level could have benefited from a wipe to get rid of all the dead beasties - we noticed this on both the friday and saturday morning. In the morning, pretty much all of the glasses sitting out for fruit juice had the reminants of orange juice stuck to them - not pleasant! Having said that - the breakfast was nice and we recieved good sized pots of tea and coffee - although the outside of the pots too could have benefited from a wash.
