All bedrooms at Isle of Eriska Hotel vary in shape and size, but all have the same facilities, amenities and luxury you would expect from a five-star hotel.

In the main house, there are 16 bedrooms split into two main categories of bedrooms, the deluxe rooms and standard rooms. Deluxe rooms are slightly larger and tend towards the front of the house and standard which are a little smaller than the deluxe rooms and located towards the east of the hotel.

Beyond the main house in the surrounding gardens lie the six Hilltop Reserves and Arnott's House. These offer more privacy and seclusion but not at the expense of service or style. The rooms outside the main house also have a greater degree of space set in private gardens with their hot tubs.

Isle of Eriska harvests ingredients from the flourishing island and captures the nutrients of the sea to nourish your body, mind and soul. Delivering unique Scottish experiences, Stables Spa provides you with a setting to refresh, regenerate and release your inner well-being.

Set in the former stables building and accessed by a path through the Spa Garden offers five treatment rooms, three to connect you to the natural land, plants and wood, and two to connect you to the cleansing sea and tranquil shores that surround you.

The natural products ishga and ESPA have been chosen to create refreshing treatments, to infuse the mind, allowing your body to be cleansed with every breath harmonising you with the island.

Leisure facilities

The leisure facilities at the Isle of Eriska include a 17m heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and fully equipped air-conditioned gymnasium.

Available for residents to enjoy from 8.00 am to 7.30 pm daily. Children are welcome to enjoy the facilities from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm daily. 

Location & Directions

Directions to the Isle of Eriska Hotel near Oban 

With stunning views overlooking Loch Linnhe and the Morvern Mountains, The Isle of Eriska is located at the mouth of Loch Creran in the heart of West Argyll. It is approximately 12 miles north of Oban and 40 miles south of Fort William.

The hotel is best reached by car and train (Connel Ferry train station is 6 miles away) with the closest airports being Glasgow International (90 miles) and Edinburgh International (110 miles)

By Train
Connel Ferry train station is only a 15-minute drive away from the hotel. You can use Scotrail to plan and pay for your journey. From Edinburgh, the travelling time is approximately 4 hours with one change in Glasgow. From Glasgow, the travelling time is approximately 3 hours.

By Car
From Inverness, follow the A82 South to Fort William.

From Fort William take the A82 South towards Glasgow. At Ballachulish, you will come to a roundabout, and take the first left following the signs for Oban A828. Approximately 10 miles after Appin you will see a sign for the hotel on the left-hand side, please turn right after this sign. Follow the single track for 3 miles until you reach the entrance to the hotel.

From Glasgow take the A82 North to Tyndrum. Just after the Green Welly Shop takes the first left following signs for Oban A85. When you reach Connel turn left and drive OVER the Connel Bridge until you reach a small village called Benderloch. Follow the brown sign on the left for the Isle of Eriska Hotel.

By Air
We can also land helicopters on the island. Helicopter coordinates are dependent on helicopter size and the hotel should be contacted for further information.

Sea Planes can also be accommodated, arriving at our pier but landings are dependent on the tides.
For private aircraft, Oban Airport is situated just off the A828 by the village of North Connel 5 Miles from the hotel. Turn left out of the airport along the A828 and after one mile take the left turn north of Benderloch.

Cancellation Policy: 
Bookings made on flexible terms can be cancelled or amended up to 30 days before the day of arrival at the Isle of Eriska Hotel. Bookings cancelled or amended within 30 days of arrival will be charged for the full cost of the stay. This policy supersedes our 48-hour policy. 

Pet Policy
Dogs are welcome at Eriska in any of the bedrooms. We simply ask that they are not left unattended and if they are left in the bedrooms, that they are contained in a travel cage and do not bark or disturb other guests - we can arrange special meals if required and always have towels on hand in case they explore too enthusiastically! We regret that they are not allowed in the public rooms or areas of the hotel.

Disabled Access
As the hotel is a traditional building, we do not have a lift. However, we do have two luxurious bedrooms situated on the ground floor with full disabled access. If you require an accessible room, please call 01357 529129 before your booking.

Children:
The Isle of Eriska can accommodate an additional bed for children in the majority of our accommodations. Children under the age of 8 sharing a room with 2 adults stay with our compliments in the room however, meals are charged as taken including breakfast. For children 8 and above the charge per night is £85 per child bed and breakfast. This will be added to your bill at the hotel. Rates quoted on myhotelbreak are based on 2 adults sharing. 

The formal restaurant serves an A'La Carte menu of the best local produce. This atmosphere may not be suitable for all children, therefore we do also offer a High Tea menu which can be served earlier in a restaurant, or the Deck Restaurant. If you wish your children to dine with you in our fine dining restaurant and your children are comfortable in this environment they are welcome to do so. We ask, if electronic devices are used in the restaurant for entertainment, headphones are used.

At Eriska there is a wide range of activities for all ages. Activities can be scheduled on the island or arrangements can be made with local providers.
