BY CAR
SAT NAV
For guests using a GPS, we recommend to use the post code B1 1RD. But please note, on some sat navs the post code B5 4AD is advisable. Brown city signs for "The Mailbox" will also guide you to the hotel.

FROM THE M6 SOUTH OR NORTH WEST
Leave the M6 at Junction 6 and follow the A38 (M). Follow signs to 'City Centre, Bromsgrove (A38)'. Do not take any exit to the left. Go over one flyover and through just one Queensway underpass. On exiting the underpass, keep in the left hand lane, indicate left and go up the parallel running slip-road to the Paradise Circus island where you take the first exit and begin to go down Suffolk Queensway. After only 50 metres, go left down Brunel Street and then go right at the T-junction with Navigation Street. The road now takes you under Suffolk Queensway right to the hotel forecourt and the adjoining Mailbox car park.

FROM THE M5 SOUTH WEST
Leave the M5 at Junction 3 and travel towards the City Centre along the A456 (Hagley Road) for 5 miles to the Five Ways island. This is easily distinguishable as it is surrounded by large office blocks and a Tesco store. You will by this time have seen a number of the official brown 'The Mailbox' tourist signs. Take the third exit at this island which will begin to take you down the A4540 (Ring Road) to join the A38. After about 200 metres take a left (indicated by the brown 'The Mailbox' sign) which will take you down Holloway Head to the Holloway Circus island. Take the first exit (Suffolk Queensway) and then the second left into Severn Street. Turn immediately right for the hotel and the adjoining Mailbox car park.

FROM THE M40 OXFORD AND THE SOUTH
Arrive on the M42 and travel west towards the M5. Travel north on the M5 leaving at Junction (Read directions 'From M5 South-West').

FROM THE M42 EAST MIDLANDS
Leaving the M42 North at Junction 9 follow the signs for A4097. At the roundabout take the 1st exit. Drive straight ahead passing through 3 roundabouts. Bear left into Tyburn Road then follow signs for A38M Birmingham City Centre. Keep in right hand lane going under two tunnels. When entering the second tunnel move into the left hand lane. When leaving the second tunnel leave the expressway following signs for the station. At the roundabout take the 4th exit (Coming back on yourself). Take second left and immediate right. You should see Mailbox car park to the left and the Mal Birmingham entrance to the left.

FROM THE NATIONAL EXHIBITION CENTRE
From NEC/M42 motorway island follow signs for City Centre/A45. When you reach the large roundabout (Bordsley Circus) take 1st left following signs to Ring Road West and A45. At the next roundabout turn right. Carry on bearing left up to the large roundabout. Go straight over until you reach a large set of traffic lights. Turn right into Bristol Street and at the roundabout take the 2nd exit. Take 2nd left and immediate right where you will see Mailbox car park and Malmaison entrance will be to the left. Car parking at The Mailbox is fully secure. The entrance to the car park is at the front of The Mailbox as indicated in the directions above (fees apply). If you would like advice on alternative parking, please feel free to call us.

There are lots to see and do whilst staying at Malmaison Birmingham. As the UK's second largest city, Birmingham is packed to the brim with potential. Culture, shopping, nightlife - even a world-famous chocolate factory.

Birmingham by day:
Birmingham's Bullring shopping centre (0.6 miles from Malmaison), with over 160 stores including Debenhams and Selfridges, and the Jewellery Quarter produces 40% of the nation's bling. While you're in the mood for precious things, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery (0.4 miles from Malmaison) offers art, archaeology and more in some 40 galleries. The Barber Institute of Fine Arts (2.8 miles from Malmaison) offers a wealth of unmissable exhibits too. Come from mid-November until just before Christmas and you'll also enjoy the famously festive Frankfurt Christmas Market.

Birmingham by Night:
Birmingham is home to The Alexandra (0.2 miles from Malmaison), one of the finest theatres in the country, which hosts everything from opera and ballet to smash hit musicals and Britain's biggest comedy acts. You'll also find a bustling nightlife in Birmingham, with cool clubs all around. While you're here in the Second City, you also have to visit The Electric (0.5 miles from Malmaison); which is the UK's oldest working cinema. A world away from multiplexes, this is how cinema trips used to be in the heyday of Hollywood. So get a ticket, grab some popcorn and get ready to fall in love with the silver screen all over again.
