The team of chefs at Shendish Manor are passionate about quality and uses fresh, seasonal ingredients that where possible, have been locally sourced and produced. This is reflected in the mouth-watering, inspirational cuisine expertly prepared by the Executive Chef and his team.

As well as providing a stunning outlook, the glass-panelled wall of the Orangery features sliding doors which open out onto the terrace, overlooking the beautifully manicured Dutch Garden and grounds of the estate. The Terrace provides the perfect setting to enjoy al fresco dining under the stars on a warm summer’s evening.

The Orangery bar serves a wide selection of wines, beers, Champagnes, cocktails and liqueurs and is the ideal place for an aperitif before dinner or a welcome nightcap after your meal.

The Lounge menu has been created to offer light meals, snacks and traditional favourites with many items available as 24-hour room service options for those that prefer the privacy and comfort of their room.
The hotel is renowned for its indulgent high tea, complete with homemade cakes, scones, strawberry preserve, clotted cream and the finest finger sandwiches – a perfect way to spend a lazy afternoon!

When making a reservation to include children, the rate quoted by us is based on 2 adults only and will not include the rates for children. These will be added on at the hotel and are as follows:
0 - 2 years: £15 per child per night Bed & Breakfast (pay for meals as taken)
3 - 16 years: £20 per night Bed & Breakfast or £25 per night Dinner, Bed & Breakfast.
(Meals must be taken from the children's menu)

More than half of Hertfordshire is a designated green belt area with rolling countryside and leafy gardens. What better reason to escape the hectic pace of the city and play a round or two in peace and tranquillity on Shendish Manor’s Golf Course?

Shendish Manor is the ideal setting for all your golfing requirements. Designed to USPGA specifications the 5660-yard, Par 70 course offers year-round golf with a mix of hazards through both parkland and woodland copses.

To start or round off an exhilarating day, a warm welcome awaits you in the Coach House bar - perfectly placed for the 19th hole and offering a range of mouth-watering dishes on their menu, Breakfast is served from 7 am until 10.30 am. Buggies and trolleys are also available for hire from the Coach House. Private one-to-one or group lessons can also be arranged with our PGA Professional.

The Shendish Manor Hotel is located in the village of Apsley which is a 19th-century mill town situated between the village of Kings Langley and the town of Hemel Hempstead in the valley of the Chiltern Hills. The vibrant water space along the Grand Union Canal is the perfect place to spend a relaxing afternoon.

Just a mile and a half away you will find the picturesque village of Kings Langley which boasts a colourful history from its origins as a Roman settlement and having once been the location of a Royal Palace cited in William Shakespeare's Richard II. A leisurely stroll through the High Street will bring you to a wide variety of shops including specialist boutiques, restaurants and timber-framed public houses.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour is a must-see attraction for Harry Potter lovers everywhere and is situated only 5 miles away from the Shendish Manor Hotel.
