The 71 comfortable, ensuite rooms come with satellite TV, tea and coffee-making options, ironing and laundry facilities and direct dial telephones, with baby-listening services where needed. The rooms are clean but nothing fancy

Guests can call on a 24-hour room and reception service and take advantage of various room options, to suit families, couples, friends and those with babies requiring cots.

With many rooms offering fabulous sea views, including some with balconies, there is no excuse not to enjoy the sight of the sunset setting over the Lancashire coast.

Please note that many of the bedrooms are located above the ballroom. On nights that the hotel features entertainment, some noise may be heard from these rooms.

Sea air and outdoor activities can soon work up an appetite, so the St Ives Hotel allow guests to eat as much, or as little as they want in the roomy, air-conditioned, Pier Restaurant.

The highly praised carvery features fresh and local food, cooked by a team of talented chefs, in the hotel's own kitchens, where they can cater for all special dietary needs.

A roast meal is always available, along with creative fish and vegetarian options, pasta and children's choices, if the youngsters aren't already tucking into the help-yourself buffet with their parents.

Hearty Lancashire breakfasts set guests up for the day, whilst a varied wine menu helps the winding-down process, with options to continue to enjoy a glass or two from our ballroom terrace, as the sun sets.

Being on holiday is all about relaxation, however, you define this. The St Ives Hotel aims to provide guests with a stress-free environment that can be topped up with a visit to the beauty or hair salon, a swim in the heated indoor pool, a healthy sauna, or a frothy cappuccino enjoyed in the coffee or poolside lounges.

If relaxing means watching TV or a good film, both can be enjoyed in the TV and Video Lounge. A fully licensed bar is able to serve drinks throughout the day, and snacks can be enjoyed in the poolside lounge.

For the slightly more active, a well-equipped games room has table tennis and American pool tables, whilst the outdoor play area encourages a bit of competition across the badminton net.

Very young guests can let off steam in the Toddler's Play Area and non-swimmers can take advantage of lessons given by a fully-trained instructor.
