Thainstone House offers a selection of hotel guest rooms some of which are dog friendly.

Room types consist of double, king and twin standard, king and twin executive and one suite. 

Due to the history of the building, every room is different in size and shape, yet all are finished to the same high standard.

The rooms are decorated with neutral, stylish colours and soft furnishings that have a modern Scottish twist.

There are 48 stylish bedrooms within the hotel, which are accessible by stairs only from the upper gallery and spiral staircase.

Executive King & Twin Rooms
Executive rooms are stylish and comfortable; all are different due to the quirky nature of the house. Rooms are all decorated to the same high standard.

The only suite at Thainstone is really special and finished to an extremely high standard. The stylish suite is placed on the 2nd floor and has lots of natural light and space.

The Green Lady restaurant is an elegant room with dramatic high ceilings, Wedgewood green walls, grand paintings and large picture windows overlooking the parkland.

Guests start the day in The Green Lady with a full Crerar breakfast or a light continental choice from the breakfast buffet.

The dress code is all about being comfortable, so smart casual will suit most.

Young diners can feast on smaller portions from the main menu, or for those up to the age of 12, from the special young diners menu, specially created for those little people looking for something a little different.

Spend some time at Thainstone Leisure Club with its indoor heated pool, Jacuzzi bath and steam room.

The gymnasium is air-conditioned with state-of-the-art equipment and a cardio theatre. In addition to the gym, there are some pre-measured interesting and safe running or jogging routes.

Swimming is fabulous for strength and toning and the 13-metre pool is great for some serious aqua exercise, a place to rehabilitate after injury or as a tranquil haven after a workout.

Relax and enjoy the numerous health benefits that a Jacuzzi spa bath offers. Let the pressurised bubbles ease any muscular fatigue aches and pains by stimulating the blood supply.

The outdoor hot tub is a place to chill out and relax making sure any spa experience is complete. The outdoor tub is secluded and large enough for six guests.

Location & Directions

Directions to the Thainstone House, Inverurie

Thainstone House is easily reached by rail, road and air. Inverurie railway station is a little over 1.5 miles away and upon arrival, contacting the hotel will allow pick-up by courtesy mini-coach (subject to arrival time and mini-coach availability).

Located on the A96, main Inverness Road, Thainstone is clearly sign-posted approximately 12 miles north of Aberdeen Airport, on the outskirts of Inverurie town centre. 

By bus, the No. 10 and 307 services from Aberdeen and Inverness, stop outside the main gates of the hotel property.

Payment on arrival:
Please note that at a flexible rate, guests will be asked to pay for their break in full on arrival at the hotel.

Dinner Inclusive:
Unless otherwise stated guest staying on a rate/package inclusive of dinner will receive an allowance of £30 per person towards dinner. 

Please book your table in advance so the hotel can serve you at your preferred time.

Check-in 3pm. Check-out 11am.

Best Room Available - you will be allocated the best available room on check-in. Please note that an upgraded room is not guaranteed, unless you have opted to pay the supplement for a guaranteed upgrade. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for full details.

Service Charge
Most of Thainstone's guests now prefer to pay via debit or credit card including a charge for great service . To make this easier we have added an automatic service charge - we’ve made it a default 10% and you can change it to any level you wish including no service charge. Service charge is entirely optional, if you would like us to remove it, you need only ask.

With the rolling parkland and woodland that surrounds the Thainstone House, the team often use the outdoor space, for a bit of trail running with members and you can find local running routes in the leisure club – just ask!
