BACKSTAGE AT THE GREEN
Every once in a while you come across "The Music Venue" which lives up to its name. Let's be honest and let's face it we've all been to gigs before in some venues that are best forgotten!
If you are seriously interested in music… Backstage at the Green is the ultimate live experience with a truly intimate ambience unlike any other venue in the UK today. All this and more - there is also one of the finest music memorabilia collections you are likely to encounter - "Every Picture Tells A Story"
GOLF
The Montgomery
Are you up for the Montgomery Challenge? Card a 79 or lower and win your place in the Montgomery Hall of Fame – an achievement which only a handful of people manage each year.
What makes it so difficult, even for low handicappers? You may get a clue on the first hole - the raised green with deep bunkers on either side can make the slightest mistake costly!
The Bruce
Affectionately known as the ‘Wild Child’, The Bruce has been designed to offer a real challenge to the low-handicapper as well as a thoroughly enjoyable round for the holiday golfer.
A word of advice. Don’t let the four par-5s in the outward nine holes lead you into a false sense of security. They’re par-5s for very good reasons!
MORE RESORT ACTIVITIES
At the Green Hotel Golf & Leisure Resort, you’ll find an extensive range of facilities and activities on offer to keep you occupied on your visit. To give you an idea here’s a brief overview:
Loch Leven Heritage Trail – cycling, walking, running
Following the Loch Leven Heritage Trail is the perfect way to appreciate the beauty, observe the wildlife and savour the history of Loch Leven - a National Nature Reserve and Scotland’s largest lowland loch.
This includes a circular 12-mile route. And since the trail is traffic free, well-signposted (so no risk of getting lost!) and mostly flat, it’s ideal for walkers, joggers and cyclists and for most wheelchair users. Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy the Scottish countryside at its best with spectacular views across the Loch and its islands to the rolling hills beyond.
Mobility scooters are available, free of charge, from Historic Scotland at The Pier for use on the Loch Leven Heritage Trail.
Canoeing
From 1st April to 31st August, you can launch your canoe onto Loch Leven from Kirkgate Park, a 10-minute walk from the resort. Whilst enjoying the tranquillity of the Loch, please be aware of its National Nature Reserve status and take care not to disturb the birds on the water and the islands.
Curling
There is also a super Olympic standard curling rink at the hotel, available for groups of 4 plus to enjoy taster sessions (note subject to availability and they must be pre-booked as the rink is very busy with weekly curling clubs.)
Children's Play Park
Just a 10-minute walk from the hotels, you’ll find an exciting new children’s play area in the beautiful open spaces of Kirkgate Park. Set on the shores of Loch Leven, adjacent to the 17th-century Kinross House, the park forms part of the Loch Leven National Nature Reserve.
