The Gretna Hall Hotel in Gretna Green was originally built in 1710 as a manor house for the Johnstone family, and over the years has been extended to become the popular country house hotel in Gretna that we know today. The 4-star Gretna Hall Hotel is an ideal setting for your leisure break thanks to its great location, charm and character. As this hotel is located in Gretna Green it is the perfect base from which to explore the Scottish Borders and the English Lake District, where you'll find many walks, hikes and other attractions.
2010 saw the start of a major refurbishment programme. All public areas have been upgraded and so too have many of the bedrooms. All in all the Gretna Hall hotel's quality has improved in all areas resulting in being re-classified as a commended hotel.
The Anvil restaurant at the Gretna Hall serves fantastic freshly prepared dishes from both the table d'hote and a la carte menus and is complemented by the finest selection of wines.

Heading north on A74 (M) drive for approximately 7 miles north of junction 44, take the exit to Gretna/Gretna Green. At the T-junction turn left onto the B7076 (signposted Gretna Green) then go through the roundabout at Gretna Gateway outlet village. At the traffic lights carry straight on then turn right at the war memorial. Heading south on the A74 (M) past the Gretna service area (Welcome Break) branch left then take the 1st exit on the roundabout signposted Gretna Green. Turn left onto the B7076 at the T junction. The hotel is situated approximately 200 yards on the right-hand side.

Located a short distance from the M6/M74, Gretna Hall Hotel is ideal for exploring the Scottish Borders, the Lake District as well as the Dumfries and Solway Coast.
