We had a lovely overnight at this hotel staff very helpful and pleasant. We had an evening meal 3 courses absolutely delicious and also offered a glass of non alcoholic wine instead of house wine that came with deal as we were not drinking which is a lovely touch not many hotels have the option but had plenty alcohol free options Breakfast was delicious fresh and warm Will definitely return

We had a lovely stay, food was amazing, the staff were very helpful. Our room was very comfortable and it was unfortunate the weather was so cold as we had a lovely patio room with a table and chairs outside. Just straight off the motorway and 5 mins from outlets or a short drive into Annan.

Nice break pity the room was so small and no outlook a big tree then the m77 foot excellent and staff excellent a bit embarrassing being told we had a restricted price for main meal( should read my hotel)but overall very nice would we be back I doubt it.

My husband and I had an overnight stay at the Gretna Hall Hotel on our way home from a holiday in Blackpool. The hotel is situated in lovely garden grounds where there is ample parking. The public areas are modern and welcoming. We had a room on the ground floor which, although fairly small, was adequate for a one night stay. It was very comfortable, warm, and had everything we needed. We had dinner in the hotel as part of the deal and it was excellent. I would stay here again.

Arrived and checked in smoothly, we had booked the borbone and smyth suite, in my opinion this isn’t a suite as there was no additional seating area, a small chair in a corner of a room doesn’t cut it being a suite, I would say it was more a step up from a standard room. Other thing to be aware of the room is above the kitchen area so ventilation fans going till end of service and I made them aware of the problem that when there using the glass washer in the kitchen there is a bad vibration through the pipes which at points was really loud in the room especially at night We were on a two night stay and I complained on both nights regarding the noise, another thing is we were on a dinner bed and breakfast stay with £15 allowance towards our meals, on both nights we had to ask for the tea time special menus as this wasn’t offered to us just the main menu.

Just back from a 2 night break at the Gretna hall hotel. We had a pleasant stay. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Room was very nice but the en-suite is very very small. There is no where to hang anything in there not even a towel hook. The grouting at the bottom of the shower tray needs replaced as it’s all black but it was clean. The evening meals are lovely and there is plenty of choice. Can’t say we were very impressed with the breakfasts the hot food was very dried up looking but it may just needed refreshing when we went down for breakfast. Apart from that the stay was very pleasant.

First time here, staff, food, drink and room great !! Downfall and reason why I may never come back (if I want a quiet night away) hotel must have catered for 5+ weddings on same day, this made it impossible to get into the bar area from 3pm after checking in, meaning we had to go to another local establishment to relax and have a couple of drinks, meal was ruined with overly noisy patrons ( drinking all day I assume) literally couldn’t hear each other talking. Even after evening meal was over managed to get two seats but was a constant rabble at bar with numerous kids running riot. Maybe naive on my part but if you are going to have all patrons in same area maybe you should advertise this. Doesn’t work unless you have bigger lounge/bar area. Staff are a credit to hotel and agree things need to change.

An excellent second stay at this beautiful hotel. Even better this time because the room was more luxurious and front facing, over lovely lawns, where the previous room at the back looked across to another room! Spotless, warm and very comfortable with modern bathroom. Nice vibe in restaurant, very friendly staff. Food at dinner was very good indeed and great value for money. Huge buffet breakfast, multiple choice. Would recommend to the most discerning without hesitation. Will certainly return soon.
