Check in and room were excellent. However, breakfast room was over noisy, no menu and no direction. However food choice and quality were good, except that no hot plates provided.

Had a wonderful stay at the Courtyard. Staff were amazing, hotel was fantastic and undergoing some refurbishment but didn’t affect our stay at all. I would definitely recommend this hotel ? %

When we arrived at the hotel we noticed work going on in reception to which we were unaware. At 08.00am the next morning a loud banging and drilling started near our room, this continued throughout the morning even during breakfast. We had a late checkout of 14.00pm but were glad to leave the hotel at 10.30am to get away from all the noise. We were never at any point before our stay told there were works going on at the hotel.

Hotel is in a great place close to the playhouse. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room had a big bed, bathroom and shower were good size. Needed to ask for more tea and coffee but otherwise a good sized room. Breakfast, good choices from continental and hot cooked food, cereals fruit. We had to wait in a queue for a table as breakfast room was busy. But kept informed by staff. Good price considering where hotel is located.

Room was lovely but found it cold. When we mentioned this to a staff member they brought us a radiator to plug in which made the room very cosy. Staff were very friendly.

Had a pleasant stay at this hotel. Breakfast was of a good standard with plenty of choice. The staff were especially helpful and friendly. There are some renovations going on at the moment so the disabled entrance is blocked off at the moment but they did have a temporary ramp at the main entrance for wheelchair users. The drink prices were fairly reasonable for Edinburgh although there is a Wetherspoons pub just 5 minutes away which is much cheaper. We had an evening meal on one night of our stay which I thought was a bit pricey compared to the Theatre bar next door which serves excellent food and is better value. We had an accessible room which was spacious and spotless clean. All in all I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again as it was well placed for Waverley station and there is a shopping centre a few minutes walk away.

We loved our stay!!!! Perfect location for a city centre break. The late check out was brilliant too as it gave us a long lie and then extra time to enjoy the city. Breakfast was lovely too. Staff friendly and helpful. Would love to stay here again.

Great stay at courtyard by Marriott - highly recommended . Location was ideal close to all the tour attractions and shops . Staff were friendly and helpful - very approachable and knowledgeable of area . Didn’t use all the facilities but we were told these were available to use ie gym . Breakfast was a very good standard - lots of quality items available at the continental and hot buffet - staff constantly replenishing items . Will definitely visit again - best stay that we have had in Edinburgh and the chilled Prosecco on arrival was an added bonus .

For a very busy hotel the staff were exceptional both at reception and breakfast. Our room was nice and quiet and the bed extremely comfortable. Location for city centre excellent. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Staff freindly , Room spotless, didnt use voucher for prosecco shame it couldnt be changed for another drink even a soft drink . Breakfast was ok but some of the food was a bit hard as was left out on hotplates . There was work going on inside the hotel but didnt effect the stay

Room was fab check in staff lovely comfy bed & great shower only negative was the girl doing breakfast who thought it was appropriate to push a table out of my way and into other guests as i was plus size i found this uncalled for i can navigate my way round a restaurant ive managed for 46 years!

The location of the Courtyard By Marriott is excellent and the staff are efficient and friendly. The staff at breakfast are superb! They cannot do enough to help you and are so polite and friendly. When our room was serviced for the day there was excellent attention to detail. Always like a room with a fridge so pleased about that. Bedroom was so quiet and even although there was work taking place within the hotel, you couldn’t hear anything in the bedroom.
