Marine Troon, Troon

We enjoyed a very pleasant time at the Marine which we visit annually to stay but look in often for meals/drinks when we are in the area. Great location and the hotel has been beautifully renovated. The staff are always friendly and pleasant and eager to help. We enjoyed the massage treatments and the pool/gym nice and clean. Good food and a very comfortable room with a view of the sea. Want a lovely hotel, we we're upgraded to a junior suite with fantastic views of golf course and sea,staff were excellent and helpful with all our luggage. Only one problem the breakfast toasters were extremely slow to toast!

Fabulous stay to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We were upgraded to a suite and also received a bottle of Prosecco in our room which was a lovely surprise. Dinner & breakfast was good. All staff were very friendly. Could not fault anything. Would definitely stay again.

My pal and I had a great break. Treatments were excellent and all staff were excellent. Main hotel is great and again, all the staff were lovely. Only drawback was room 302 has a loo in a cupboard (with no wash hand basin) about 8 metres from the main bathroom.

Had the most amazing night for valentines at the Marine Troon - we were delighted to be told we had an upgrade to a sea view bigger room as we had our dog with us! Beautiful room which made the trip even better. The service from check in to dinner - breakfast and drinks in the bar was second to none. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure the stay was perfect. Breakfast was delicious and a great choice of both continental and cooked options. We would definitely recommend and will be sure to be back!

DISAPPOINTING My friend and I booked a night away at The Marine, Troon as a treat. Our room was super, but we had to pay £30 in advance for them to split the bed into 2 singles! Bit of a rip off! The beds were most uncomfortable. Dipped in the middle. Soft mattress. Old beds. We did have an amazing view from our room. Dinner was very disappointing! We ended up with 3 menus. I had a little slice of pork belly. I was extremely glad I also ordered chips! I would only recommend the fish n chips. The menus are far too pretentious! We wanted dessert. Again, gave us 3 menus. Yet only ONE menu had any desserts on it!!! In all honesty, we'd rather have eaten out... Breakfast was OK. No big deal. Disabled parking isn't great! ONE space only! Overall, not the best experience, especially for what we paid. What I will say is that the staff were excellent. Especially on the reception. Not what we expected I'm afraid.

Had a fantastic overnight stay at the Marine Hotel at the weekend. Its the first time we have been since the refurbishment work had been carried out and what a difference. Everything from the decor to the staff and the food were all 5-star. Cannot wait to return.
