Hotel was fine, public areas, bar and restaurant all good, standard double room was basic but clean with plenty of tea/coffee available, breakfast was very good buffet style with cold and hot options and fried or poached eggs available on request, location was good, just behind train station and 10 minute walk to centre and quayside, staff very friendly and helpful, great value deal included two free hot drinks, free pizza to share and bottle of Prosecco

This was firstly an amazing deal, which i thought must be to good to be true but it wasn't. The staff could not do enough for you and were so friendly , the food was lovely. If had a negative i would say the rooms were a bit tired, but they were spotless so it didn't bother us. Would definitely be looking to stop here again and so central.

The hotel is very nice,great position and comfortable. All staf were very friendly and helpful. Deal was incredible value,the free pizza was fresh and absolutely delicious. Will definitely return here.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Leonardo Newcastle as usual. The breakfasts were varied & good - I really liked the overnight oats, had some fruit compote & yoghurt on the top. The staff are very helpful & friendly. The bedrooms are rather dated, but lovely comfy beds. The bathroom definitely needs updating.

We had a great time in Newcastle the hotel was brilliant for the price the rooms are a bit tired but the service was fantastic staf really nice great location 5 min from railway station 5 min from city centre all in all great hotel.

Just back from 2 nights at Leonardo Newcastle Hotel on recent offer of £125 for 2 people -2 nights B&B with pizza to share + glass of fizz each + Bottle of Prosecco, Illy Coffee voucher each and 10% Off any further Food/Drink. Great deal and hotel is in good location only 5-10 minutes from train station. Yes hotel does need some refurb mainly the rooms but at this price you can't complain. Rooms were adequate and decent sized with comfy clean beds. Bathroom had few issues with cracked / chipped sink and tiles and old style shower. Tea tray had plenty tea/coffee/milk and sugar but no biscuits. The pizza to share on the offer was tasty but not a large menu choice, although should have something for most people. No option to add any extra toppings. Breakfast was just usual run of the mill breakfast choices but any extra made to offer choices not available. Like maybe an omelette , veg sausages made to order but no browns. Mushrooms, tomato , potatoes or beans with egg the veg choices . Overall great value and good location with 9 out of 10 staff helpful and polite. Another great deal from MHB thanks

A big thank you to Scott on reception who, again, managed to get our 4 rooms relatively next to each other - he is a credit to your workforce Only issue was our room wasn’t cleaned despite having the sign on the door. Then the following day the cleaner decided to clean it at 5pm just as we were back in the room to shower etc for dinner. So my only issue is the cleaning of the rooms.

A nice hotel but a bit tired looking. Room was comfy and clean. Bin in bathroom was clean but looked awful. Something corrosive had been spilled onto it. It should have been replaced. However the hotel's proximity to train station means we hope to return soon Our experience with food was awful. One of the dishes was was inedible and the other was just ok. Steak pie was dry and black inside. Veggies were dry and mashed potato was cold. Salmon was very dry but at least it was edible. Overuse of a microwave I think. Waiter gave us a complimentary drink as compensation but honestly the meals should have never left the kitchen. Any chef should be ashamed to serve those meals. However breakfast was great and we enjoyed it although our experience the previous night had made us a bit wary at first. The staff were very kind and helpful and ordered taxis for us. The offer was excellent and we would definitely repeat it.

Very close to the train station 5 minutes, checking in was fast and informative,Room was clean and well maintained,some road noise from 233 but not excessive,the restaurant food was of good quality but unfortunately only had my 3rd choice of mains.The breakfast was well stocked and replenished as and when required.

Hotel great location for touring the surrounding area and great for city centre. Discounted parking over the road. Staff lovely and always acknowledged you. We had a room in the top floor and it was very warm. We did ask for a fan which was brought to the room. Housekeeping let the side down a bit as we asked for our room to be serviced and two days running this was missed. The 3rd day was done but late on in the day. My hotel break package was very good and would highly recommend.

Had a two night stay at Leonardo’s Hotel Newcastle, room was very nice and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was more than adequate and bar prices very reasonable. Location ideal for railway station.
