Hotel was lovely and clean, and staff were very nice. Room and bed were of decent size. Shower over bath, not walk in. Didn't have a meal at hotel breakfast was ok, quite a good choice of menu.

Hotel had the best views and the grounds were lovely, staff were very pleasant and very helpful. Rooms were dated and in need of an upgrade. Dinner could have been fab but sadly my chicken breast was so over cooked and dry it was difficult to eat. The other problem were the flies! There were so many in the dinning room and they were landing on the food and table cutlery.

Such a lovely hotel. Staff were just lovely, nothing was a bother at all. We were in the garden annex rooms with the added bonus of a wee conservatory. Breakfast and evening meals were super hot and delicious. We will definitely be back again as Port Patrick is such a lovely place.

Stunning position above the town with views over the North Channel. A homely hotel with cozy public areas and generous comfortable furnishings. Bedrooms have all the fixtures and fittings one would expect. Cooked breakfast and evening meals are prepared to order and good quality. Meals are a tad pricey however, with main courses in the mid £20s, so customers on a "DBB deal" will find they have to spend significantly extra, or settle for basic fayre. The setting, the premises, and the staff, make it an enjoyable stay.

Hotel clean and tidy staff polite and helpful. Hotel is a bit dated. Great location. Food although nice enough was over priced. Rather an expensive overnight.

This was a good hotel with lovely views. The staff and service were excellent and couldn't do enough for you. The hotel is up a very steep hill and unless very fit you have to take the car down to the village. We enjoyed our stay and would return again.

Excellent stay, lovely room, efficient service in the dining room, great views from the room and hotel generally. Would recommend as a good base for seeing the local areas which has plenty to offer.

Was in the garden annexe, I thought it was going to be a garden room with balcony. It was fine for one night, pretty basic facilities, had to use electric fan heater. Fab breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay at Fernhill Hotel and as you will see below we appreciated the quality of our room which was first class, the service which was good and the food which we liked very much. The one problem we encountered, about which we spoke to the staff, was the way in which teas and coffees were served at breakfast from a slow-performing multi-drink dispenser which took a long time to dispense to fill our tea cups and some time spent in queuing while our cooked breakfast cooled.

We had a lovely overnight stay and would love to go back. This hotel was perfect for the dog- she had an excellent time. The room was huge and absolutely spotless. The food was great and the staff were friendly and helpful.

We had a great wee break here. It was rather quiet with it being mid November. We were given a room upgrade. Balcony room and lovely view over Portpatrick. Comfy big bed. A bath! All staff were super. The dinners and breakfast were good.

We booked a wonderful old style large room with a large bathroom, great views over the village and harbour from the bay window. All staff members were friendly and helpful, first night we ate in the restaurant and had a nice salmon dish. Hot breakfast dishes were served freshly cooked and not dried up like in a buffet style.

The hotel is in a good location, and the room large and comfortable but need modernizing especially the bathroom not a 4.5-star hotel more 3.5-star food in the dining room is disappointing.
