Loch Rannoch has always been a beautiful location. The hotel is still as lovely as it used to be, rooms are done nice. Not sure I'd say it earns 4 stars though as there are just quite a few things lacking, especially in attention to detail and room cleanliness. Not saying it was dirty as such, just not as clean as it should be in the right places. We had some issues when we were there, but although staff did deal with or attend to look at them they weren't always resolved as such and they kind of accepted the issues were just there. We also had to wait over 1hr for dinner one night as they forgot to put the order in, no apology or acknowledgement of the error or anything. In general, mostly just had a disorganised feel about it. The room were in had an annoying pump noise, little clothes space, no radiator valves so either too hot or too cold, couple of stains on bed linen, hair in the bed, sticky bathroom door and the main room door didn't latch closed until you really pulled it hard. Plus WiFi didn't reach that room and even if you can get WiFi, it's unsecured which is poor in this age! Room choice was meant to have a Loch view but also didn't. Food is average at best.

I enjoyed a very pleasant overnight on a special DB&B basis and was most impressed. The quality of the large 'traditional' bedroom was excellent with a very comfortable bed and good quality linen sheets and new plump white bath towels and a seating area overlooking Loch Rannoch watching the glorious sunset. Nice toiletries, and tea/coffee making facilities. Excellent dinner of well cooked local produce and generous portions. I enjoyed a swim in the quiet pool in the spa area, very clean. Charming and friendly staff who went out of their way to be helpful. Altogether a very pleasant experience and ideal for the hillwalker or those looking to relax in the peaceful area.

Lovely hotel, food great, staff very helpful and friendly. Room excellent except for bathroom which could do with a freshen up around silicone area, but understand its in the middle of refurbishment. Defo go again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Staff very professional, welcoming and friendly. Our room was lovely, warm and comfortable with a great view of the loch and Schiehallion. Still and sparkling water along with a wonderful hospitality tray was a lovely touch. Beds very comfortable. Nice big bathroom with good shower as well as a bath. Dinner was really nice and there was a good choice for breakfast. Our third stay here and it won't be our last. Thank you again!

I contacted the hotel to see if I could add the Saturday to the Sunday booking and was told that the booking system would not allow this as the Saturday booking had to be for two nights, the fact that I was booked on a Sunday deal did not matter. My wife and I had a pleasant stay at the Loch Rannoch Hotel the food and service were good our only gripe was there was a lack of in our room 12 even after running water for to get two showers, the shower tray was large but but this left little floorspace for the toilet

Loved this hotel on first appearance. Room was quirky but not clean . Lamp base thick with dust , bed base ripped to shreds and dog hairs on carpet. All staff except 1 girl named claire who needs better training. Food was ok more pub grub than fine dining . I would say this is a good 3 star definitely not 4 star .

We all has a fantastic weekend, I can honestly say the staff at Loch Rannoch Hotel were so lovely, I can't thank them enough. Each and every one of them were so professional and friendly. The hotel has and is undergoing renovation and our Heritage room was on the whole decorated ok but when you touched the paint on the walls it left a mark and the bathroom toilet is quite a squeeze next to shower unless you are really skinny and the water pressure in shower was very low, also the temperature took forever to heat up. We did not enjoy the atmosphere in the restaurant as there were too many staf congregating at the till area and all we could hear was their conversations about what they were doing, there was no leadership or focus on what their roles were and we had a few mistakes with food and drink orders. A definite case of staff being more important than the service they are providing or customers that they are serving. The choice on the menu was not great and the Lentil soup was like baby food, overall not an enjoyable experience. Reception staff were great and welcoming even offering a tea and coffee when our room was not ready yet. Also when ordering a drink from the bar before our evening meal and asking if I can charge this to our room showing the bartender my room key, he questioned me in a suious manner asking if I had checked in yet and had set up credit on the room, it kind of made me feel awkward and I am sure a more effective way to ascertain information from hotel guests could be used. Just because the hotel has a lovely location does not hide deficiencies in the approach of some members of staff and the way they are not as focussed on their paid job as they should be. Very unlikely to go back in the future.

Great deal through my hotel break.com. Thank you. This hotel is set in a tranquil setting. We were in room 106 and it was beautiful. The views across the loch are simply stunning. All staff were professional, and very pleasant to be around. I never have a break to look for faults, but It was faultless. The spa area is just about finished and it will be interesting to see how this adds to such a lovely hotel. We loved it that much, we stayed another night. Well done management and all the hard working staff. It is safe to say, we will be back. I gave the food rating an 8. What we were offered is perfect, but we appreciate that the hotel is just about to be fully operational and I think you can expect a lot more on offer. Thank you all.

Thank you for a lovely stay at your hotel we very much enjoyed our stay. A special thank you to Michelle through out meal time she went above and beyond to ensure my son who has autism had he's needs met by offering us a quite space as our son gets anxious in busy surroundings. This also was less stressful for my husband and I .. allowing us to relax and enjoy our meal. Michelle was very attentive and totally understanding of these situation of parent's with children with autism and disabilities find themselves in and it was a breath of fresh -air having staff member who was our star ? Been to many hotels and people like her are in short supply. A BIG thank you again for all you done to ensure we had a lovely, stress free break.

A very disappointing visit. Should have been advertised as a soft opening and Should have been priced as such. No leisure facilities as advertised. Room was small and bathroom was tiny. Paid £7 each for a cooked breakfast, venison sausages on menu, but later found out it was actually pork sausages, which my friend does not eat. Few things missing from room, soap at sink, teaspoons, information on dinning times, breakfast etc.
