Hotel was excellently located for bars and restaurants. Room was tired but clean. Reception staff left a lot to be desired when we checked in. Not the most helpful!

Good service and food, staff very helpful and friendly. Only down side was the amount of cigarette ends on the roof outside our window, which looked right onto it.

first class hotel, staff amazing, well positioned at river short walk over bridge from rail and bus station. we have stayed four years in a row at twixmas got upgraded this year the staff go out of there way we stayed three night meal first night was really good, and of high standard fish was amazing i would recommend this hotel we love it.

Everything was lovely with our stay. At breakfast the staff worked really hard on a very busy Sunday morning clearing, serving & preparing tables. Well done.

room was lovely with a view of the river and castle, very comfy. Dinner was a bit hit or miss, service poor food of very good uality but cold on arrival. Breakfast also very good but food lukewarm. Spa is very nice and well maintained. Would defo return as staf lovely and we had a wonderful break

Could not fault the hotel. Friendly staff, clean and spacious room with mini bottle of wine on arrival - a lovely welcoming touch. Great breakfast and pool was fantastic too. It's very central and close to everything. Would definitely go back.

I would definetley stay at the hotel again. Everything you need for a great stay. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was good, I cannot comment on dinner as we went out. The pool area and sauna were great. They have everything you need, iron, kettle and tea and coffee in the rooms, even gave us a bucket with ice for our bottle of prosecco which we took to the hotel.Great stay.

Great Hotel - friendly,helpful staff. We had room 039 it was fantastic, great views, large and spacious. Lovely lounge to relax in and great service at bar and coffee shop. Very pet friendly.

Our room was fantastic and as requested, overlooked the River Ness & Castle. The staff were all friendly & helpful. On the second night, the chef was off & there were problems in the kitchen. Fish was dry & it took 2 hours for 3 courses to be served. Other guests were returning meals & smokey atmosphere was wafting into the restaurant from the kitchen. Staff were not happy on this occasion and apologised to us the next evening.On paying the bill we were asked for extra payment for our food which was all inclusive and told we would have to take this up with Classic Britain. We spoke to the Manager, who was still insistent but eventually worked out the costings & she realised that she had made an error & the matter was resolved. This Hotel would be 1st class once the problems in the kitchen are resolved, as this reflects on the staff who are front of house & bear the brunt from the guests, which affects them personally. Comments below are based on this.
